Understanding how to use lines in your photography is a great tool for creating stunning images. If you harness the power of lines in photography you can illicit a responses from your photograph viewers. Often this response happens on a subconscious level but it’s still important to know how to use lines in order to achieve your desired response. We're having a party!!! I originally planned to just post some foodie images from the #ig_mississippi tag, but in turn it sparked an idea. After reading @stoneflou's and @deedonna70's comments about a party...ahhh, a new theme idea was birthed! -

We're having a party to celebrate the IGMS community! Everyone is invited to join in the fun! Admission fee is to tag an IGer or many IGers that are not a part of the community to invite them to the party (community)! Today our theme is "Soft and Lovely" with mild hints of color... so lets share images of barns, textures of brown wood, but can be soft tones of color as well, dead flowers, live flowers, fields of flowers (soft tones), old swings, lace, vines, wreaths, baby breaths (weeds), ivy, soft dreamy cherry blossoms, soft dreamy brokeh of sparkling lights scattered throughout a creamy green background, old bicycles, old roads with grown up grass outlining the pathway (paths through tall grass as if implying a mysterious winding walk into the unknown), old cottages, shabby chic, etc....can you envision it with me?

She says: Sorry, no face is one of my rules, but thought I should introduce myself. I'm an English woman of a certain age with three big handsome sons. Happily living in sin with the father of my sons for the last 26 years. There are so many things I love to do I can't really list, but a few include: mountain biking, gardening, reading, walking, anything creative and of course, the motorbikes. We work very hard in the summer, keep fit in the winter and try to get a couple of weeks touring mountainous countries in between. IG has been a revelation! When my son showed me I thought it was just an app for editing your pictures. Who knew it would have such a profound effect on how I see the world, how much time I waste, and not to mention all the great people I have encountered! .

Sounds like she has plenty of vacations in the summer!

Orange you glad it's Monday! A splash of orange tones this am for you wonderful artists! Today our theme is "Soft and Lovely" with mild hints of color... so lets share images of barns, textures of brown wood, but can be soft tones of color as well, dead flowers, live flowers, fields of flowers (soft tones), old swings, lace, vines, wreaths, baby breaths (weeds), ivy, soft dreamy cherry blossoms, soft dreamy brokeh of sparkling lights scattered throughout a creamy green background, old bicycles, old roads with grown up grass outlining the pathway (paths through tall grass as if implying a mysterious winding walk into the unknown), old cottages, shabby chic, etc....can you envision it with me?
