"Hala kahiki" is the Hawaiian word for pineapple. When Hawaiians first saw the pineapple, they thought it resembled the Hawaiian Hala, so they named it "hala kahiki," meaning "foreign Hala".

Ok a little explain... I took this one on 1 April. I was talking with Lucia on the phone (yeah hips tomorrow) and I really thought this spider was a toy of my kids (we have them in diffrent kinds) so I picked it up, with my hands:( And the spider has his or her ! april joke.... I did not yell!! Only I stopped breathing for a minute:(
