DANES Planning is a small consulting firm that was formed in 2002 and provides full service healthcare planning to its clients.
The challenge was to make this relatively small company come across as a major player in the market through the effective combination of color and symbol. The Danes "Bug" was developed through typographic studies of the root words that make up the company moniker those being Daniel and Esther from the old testament.

We set Hosted Solution apart from the competion by developing a complete brand Identity system, positioning strategy, marketing collateral, direct mail and a fresh new dynamic web site that communicates swift, agile, dependable and state of the art. FA also created a set of corporate guidelines that would allow marketing personnel to refer to the correct usage of the new Hosted Solution logo along with typographic guidelines for newsletters and other marketing materials was set in place for them. FA researched, designed, and implemented the company into the market space in four short months, which was before schedule. Since the rebrand, Hosted Solutions has grown into a $200 million company servicing some of the biggest fortune 500 companies such as Bank of America and Skanska North America.
Identity Collateral.
Taking place over the July 4, 2006 holiday weekend, the once-in-a-lifetime maritime spectacular, Pepsi Americas' Sail 2006. In addition to bringing an impressive collection of tall ships to Beaufort and Morehead City in the summer of 2006, Pepsi Americas' Sail featured a fun-filled week of activities designed to entertain, educate, and inspire visitors.
The 2006 event was celebrated with a large event on the east shore of the crystal coast. FA's brief was to create awareness and respect for the event, dramatizing the history and strength of the event. The 4 day event attracted people from around the USA interested in these amazing historic vessels from around the world while positioning the event as a once in a life time celebration while maintaining the Pepsi brand attributes.
FA brought Americas' Sail's key message of "The Tall Ships Are Coming" to life through a complete marketing strategy and awareness campaign that spanned over 5 states and 250 counties. Large natural images of the tall ships created a strong emotional impact and drove a new perception of the event. FA created an advertising strategy, a complete ecommerce site for product sales, signage, billboards, event identity, promotional products, and e-ticketing. Pepsi Americas' Sail 2006 completely sold out, attracting over 150,000 people to the historic town of Beaufort, North Carolina. They came from Brazil, Virginia, New York, Florida, North Carolina, and even tiny Rhode Island.

FA embarked on a comprehensive brand strategy phase to understand TowerCo's business goals. TowerCo recognized the value in FA's approach to their brand and, upon reviewing initial concepts for a new visual identity, expanded the project to a complete corporate identity program. FA created a new brand for TowerCo, articulating strategy and positioning, and extending the look and feel into marketing collateral, signage, website, and guidelines. The new graphic identity builds on the traditional strengths of the brand and signals TowerCo's commitment to leading the industry in Tower Ownership.
Logo design for www.cricar.com, the artworks / paintings portfolio of a friend, Carmen Cristea. She developed in the past years a profound interest in sketching and especially oil painting and this website gathers her works and evolution.
