Keeper for Independent Project I -
The askew view adds to the peculiar feel of the image.
The leading lines that extend off into the distance create a sense of depth in the photo and a sense of loss as the viewer's eye fades off into the distance.
The bright light in the background creates contrast and visual intrest with the foreground.
To improve this image I would try to make the depth of field in the image even more shallow. This could be achieved using a 4-image panoramic. Increasing the DOF would focus the image more on the words on the wall and reduce the distracting elements in the background.
The idea behind this photo is no matter how other people sees you; you must not lose your identity. You must not be afraid to show your true self out to other people; you have to be confident to show who you are. I decided to put pictures of my model with different facial expression into collage because every person have different personalities, therefore, they must not afraid to show those personalities out to the world.

Inspired by Solly Smook, I contrasted traditional and expressive brush strokes - leaving areas with an unfinished appearance to portray the representation of sincerity and emotional emptiness.
To add texture to the composition I have used coloured card, complementing the primary colours of the composure.
