A highlight of the year was the Moncler Fashion Show, which was presented as part of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Moncler showcased its Grenoble collection for Fall/Winter 2012 by outfitting top NYC skaters in Moncler outerwear and having the skaters perform. The performance took place in February 2012 at t Trump Wollman Skating Rink in Central Park, shown here blazing with show lights and the background of mid-Manhattan skyscrapers

NY City skate lovers got an unexpected treat on February 8 as Boundless Edge Ice Dance Ensemble and Skating School and Michael Carson Productions presented an ice skating show on the life of famed Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, titled "Viva La Vida"
Here the ensemble performs as part of a Day of the Dead parade
The performance was given at Peter Cooper Village Skating Rink in Manhattan

Performed by Ice Theatre of New York's Patrick Connelly, Jason Cotnoir, Taylor Grant, Jessica Huot, Alicia Jackson, Josh Murphy, Alex Tregre and Sarah Zanolli at Rockefeller Center Skating Rink in March and April 2012

During its 2012 home season, Ice Theatre of New York premiered "Unforgettable". Choreography by Douglas Websters, music from the motion picture "The Artist", composed by Ludovic Bource.
"Unforgettable is a sweeping ice dance that recalls the famous Follies Swing Waltz, high style production and romantic love story. According to Ice Theatre of New York, "This pieces pays homage to our skating past and is a tribute to Ice Theatre of New York's 2012 honoree Richard "Mr. Debonair" Dwyer."
