Couple tries to Ice Dance on The Pond at Bryant Park. Skaters hit the ice in this unseasonably warm day. At 60 °F many people skated with just T-shirts and jeans.
This was quite a challenge to photograph, back in the days when you could get away with it.
Used a slow zoom lens, 100ASA Fujichrome, push processed to 800ASA. I sat on the staircase between seating at the Sydney Entertainment Centre to capture this 1978 show from the USA.
