A relic from days gone by: the old pedestrian tunnel at the ICC in Berlin, once a lively thoroughfare. Its faded walls and dim light tell of decades of urban history that will soon only live on in memories. This hidden treasure invites you to take one last walk before it closes for good.
The International Congress Center Berlin (ICC Berlin) in Berlin's Westend district of the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district was one of the largest congress centers in the world. The building, which is 313 meters long, 89 meters wide and almost 40 meters high, was built according to plans by the Berlin architects Ralf Schüler and Ursulina Schüler-Witte and opened on April 2, 1979 after four years of construction. A striking feature is the building's silver-grey aluminum facade in the style of high-tech architecture. It is abandoned since 2014.
