This has not been edited or manipulated in any way or form. This was a potential front that eroded when it met a high pressure (dry) system. You can even see these nice clouds trying to avoid it by arching. Thought the shape was so cool.
been missing y'all!

Its felt like summer recently, its been so lovely.
I'm not taking my 365 too seriously although I am still taking a picture every day. Exams are coming up and I cant be doing with uploading on the right day.
Other than that Im quite happy and rather enjoying myself. :)
I thought it was interesting to capture the unripe one, instead of the usual red strawberry. I wanted to express the deperateness of wanting to be grownup...
Summer-warmth... and walk barefoot in the garden... moss that tickles your toes...
I can't wait... :)
Stunning on Large :))
Belief in the breeze, the smoky morning haze.
The sun on her face and the touch of lovers' hands.
The pain that comes today, is here, then goes away.
And I want this more than life.

This figure featured my first serious camo test. It was made during World War Brick 2016, and features many interesting parts.
-The helmet itself I got from Jeremy, who claimed it was a failed project of his. The facemask and sunglasses were actually glued to the black Stormtrooper head, but I was able to pry it off. Because of this, I did not actually assemble the removable facemask, I just gave it a paint job. I'm not sure how the sunglasses were made, but they do look great. The minifig cat helmet was painted by me.
-The vest, along with the torso, was purchased and painted at WWB. The torso is a black BDU Citizen Brick torso, While the best itself is a Brickarms Modern vest. both feature paint jobs by me.
-The legs, hips, and head were all custom painted. There are Tiny Tactical pouches featured on the arm and legs.
-The rifle is actually my favorite part of the figure. It started off as a swirled green ModFuse Brickarms rifle, but after extensive modding, I was able to turn it into a fully functional ModCom rifle. it required some drilling and a few pegs were glued into place. As you can see, the original heatshield and grip, sights, magazine and stock were all removed to make room for the ModCom pieces.
This figure had been kicking around my desk for a couple years now, and it is only with Chris's help that I was able to upload it to Flickr. Chris did an amazing job with the few photos I had saved of the figure, editing the pictures perfectly.
Fun fact, the background was actually a photo that I took during my deployment. I thought it'd look nice with the modern military figure.
Special thanks to Chris, Jeremy, Will, and Joe for making this figure possible.
We finally ate the last of these tomatoes the day after Christmas. Who knew they could stick around so long?
harry potter and the deathly hallows come out saturday!!!!! i'm so excited. i think i'm even going to the midnight book party. it's gonna be so much fun. :]
HBWe!! Sorry for the noise here... I really should invest in some noiseware (darn XT!!)
YEAH and almost christmas eve... we haven't decided if we are doing our christmas tomorrow morning since we will be traveling for the holidays! So tonight might be our christmas eve!
Sadie and her bear....before she came to live with us.
We rescued her last January.
This is her 3rd home and we're keeping her forever...
This is Sadie all grown up.
The Dale Chihuly 'Glass In The Garden' exhibit begins on April 30th at Missouri Botanical Garden. Yesterday, there were already a few to marvel at. I can't wait!!!
I took this image last year while on a trip to The Richtersveld which is on the border of South Africa and Namibia. This is the Orange River. We are going there again next week and will be camping at this site.
I hope we don't have as much rain this time as we did then. It is a cold time of the year, but there aren't too many people that venture there at this time of the year, so desolation is perfect.
People really fascinate me.
I meet so many different kinds of people.
One day I'm shooting a guy covered in tattoos and piercings... the next day the Mayor of Chicago... A famous blues singer on stage... and then this guy.
I'm amazed at the differences in human beings...
And I'm impressed with all the similiarities.
We all dream the same dreams...
There's only minor variations.
We all pretty much want the same things out of life.
Getting this close to people has taught me a lot.
It's been one of the most rewarding endeavors of my life.
Man I wish I could make a bunch of money doing it...
Enough so that I didn't have to do anything else.
I'd do it every day... in so many different places...
I'd love to travel the world and bring you images of all of the different people...
Who dream the same dreams.

My Grandfather gave me his canon ql17 from the 70's! I can't wait to start using it once it's fixed.
:D
it arrived in my arms tuesday! i showed my grandfather, and he loves the camera as well. he's one of the reasons why i love photography as much as i do. he asked me how many cameras i have now, and i took a while to answer, then i said, "4!". he laughed and replied back: "you're almost as bad as i am!" he used to have a LOT of cameras, but many were destroyed in mississippi by the weather.
i finished my first roll today (expired agfacolor ultra 50 from 1993), so hopefully it all comes out pretty decent. :]
Erica Clements was uber nice to take a hand drawing of a cupcake I drew (on somebody's cast no less!!) and turn it into a logo for me. I've been working hard and think I have my decision made. I'm going to die-cut little bite marks on the corner of the cards. Squeee! I'm such a dork.
next time you're in manhattan, you must visit argosy books. you'll feel like a kid in a candy store.
trust me.
This upcoming Tuesday, my favorite rapper Ghostface Killah (yes, even more than Devin The Dude) has a new album coming out. It's called The Big Doe Rehab. I can't wait to hear it in its entirety.
If you visit the official website by clicking the link above, you'll see a medicine bottle with a few hundred dollar bills in it. But since I don't have big doe..I figured small doe was suitable for me.
And I won't let you go
I need you to know
That you are my heart, forever
I think February is shaping up to be a month of cute drawings.

Dearest Flickr--I'll be traveling in Asia for the next month. There will be many pictures upon my return. Cross your fingers that I don't jaywalk in Singapore and get caned or poke Ho Chi Min's mummy in Vietnam and get thrown in Hanoi Hilton, yikes! I promise in Thailand I will not ask for a happy ending in the massage parlors, I am all about travel etiquette. Wish me luck, let's all hope I don't get eaten by the whale sharks I'll be snorkeling with in the Philippines. That would be bad. Take care! See you in February!
I've had two beers, and I'm listenin' to "Thunder Road" over and over and over.
Uh-oh.
"The screen door slams, Mary's dress waves."
And in case you wondered, this is really why I hated Mary.

For those who don't know (and I can't imagine who you might be), here is perhaps the greatest poem ever written, usually heard set to the greatest music ever written.*
Thunder Road
The screen door slams
Mary's dress waves
Like a vision she dances across the porch
As the radio plays
Roy Orbison singing for the lonely
Hey that's me and I want you only
Don't turn me home again
I just can't face myself alone again
Don't run back inside
darling you know just what I'm here for
So you're scared and you're thinking
That maybe we ain't that young anymore
Show a little faith, there's magic in the night
You ain't a beauty, but hey you're alright
Oh and that's alright with me
You can hide 'neath your covers
And study your pain
Make crosses from your lovers
Throw roses in the rain
Waste your summer praying in vain
For a savior to rise from these streets
Well now I'm no hero
That's understood
All the redemption I can offer, girl
Is beneath this dirty hood
With a chance to make it good somehow
Hey what else can we do now
Except roll down the window
And let the wind blow back your hair
Well the night's busting open
These two lanes will take us anywhere
We got one last chance to make it real
To trade in these wings on some wheels
Climb in back
Heaven's waiting on down the tracks
Oh oh come take my hand
Riding out tonight to case the promised land
Oh oh Thunder Road, oh Thunder Road
oh Thunder Road
Lying out there like a killer in the sun
Hey I know it's late we can make it if we run
Oh Thunder Road, sit tight take hold
Thunder Road
Well I got this guitar
And I learned how to make it talk
And my car's out back
If you're ready to take that long walk
>From your front porch to my front seat
The door's open but the ride it ain't free
And I know you're lonely
For words that I ain't spoken
But tonight we'll be free
All the promises'll be broken
There were ghosts in the eyes
Of all the boys you sent away
They haunt this dusty beach road
In the skeleton frames of burned out Chevrolets
They scream your name at night in the street
Your graduation gown lies in rags at their feet
And in the lonely cool before dawn
You hear their engines roaring on
But when you get to the porch they're gone
On the wind, so Mary climb in
It's a town full of losers
And I'm pulling out of here to win.

*Kids have tried to tell me it's "Stairway to Heaven." Fucking "Stairway to Heaven"! Can you believe it?
Yep, that's right folks, we are officially engaged so we can make it official that we're going to spend the rest of our lives together. There is no one in the world I would rather spend the rest of my life with than this man. He makes me so very happy in every way absolutely possible.
The wedding will be a little way out as I want time to plan and save up for it, but I already have ideas and I'm just happy to be planning such a wonderful day with my love.
We have had an outpouring of love from friends and family already over the good news, and that just makes it even more awesome!!
So, once the news broke I decided we had to take a photo to commemorate the day and this is what I got. I like it, it's us. :)

Woke up...went for a run.
This is when I wish I had a gym membership..
It was so cold I am pretty sure my testicles fell off.
It won't be long before I start ovulating.
I was talking to a friend of mine in Seattle and we were discussing how a close friend of ours is adujusting to her move to Alaska
Brian: I don't think I could do it. I am in Seattle and I just walked outside and my balls retreated so far up I now have a second set of tonsils
Hilarious.

last night i couldn't sleep, and reading dear everybody by michael kimball wasn't helping (fyi, if you're trying to fall asleep, don't read a good book). so i got out of bed, took some tylenol pm, and went online. bowman was up; he'd stopped by the house earlier that evening so i could cut him a new cord for a silver bear pendant he'd worn for years, back in his traveling days.
so there we were, me in my pj's in my house, trying to get rid of a headache, and him in his house, less than a block away, watching the new "life is mars" -- connected by invisible strands of somethingness in the ether. i told him i'd adored the original british version of the show, and i told him he'd like it, especially the way the show highlights how social mores have changed since 1973 (and how they've stayed the same). it reminded me of this photograph my father took back in 1973, after he'd just left me and my mother and moved to manhattan. i know this, because he wrote "nyc, fall '73" on the back, and the next couple of shots are ones he took of me, the same day. it must have been one of my first visits to his new pad in the city.
shocked that i had this, michael told me to post it.
so here. this is for you, michael.
part two's going to be for me.
