Seven weeks. 49 days. Longer than Lent.
It's late in the afternoon, with an afternoon sun shining through. It's warm and lazy. There's only four other people up here. No one you recognize. No one you need to tell the story to. It's quiet. It's just you and the problems.
The problems. You tentatively look around to find one. Something not too steep, not too flat. You find it and gingerly wrap your fingers around those textured holds. A deep breath, an exhale, a smile. It's just you and the problems.
Feet on the wall, hips down, arms straight. Extend those knees, turn your hips, reach that arm up. Breathe.. a foot follows, the hips twist, and you continue. The movements are coming back. The body remembers.
Seven weeks, but the body remembers.

Tagged by my mystery friend of continued support, the Love Squirrel @perfect.secret for a #turnmeon challenge. I don't write erotica, but since I woke up all flush, I'm apparently still in the love vein, bleeding all over my brain. Mrs. Zeif's 7th grade class is working on their writing using the school iPads. Through the use of conferencing, each student is refining his or her written expression and analysis of the characters' motivations in the novel Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry.
