I thought it could be a Christmas card image
Of snow, dry stone walls, fences, telegraph poles, tracks, and hills. Lancashire at its most normal in winter.

As you see here: Deco - Womans pleasure. :-)))
These roses were treated special. Conservated with glycerin.
They stay as seen for more than 5 years! - Enjoy!

Though we visited the Multiverse last year, we had to visit again this year. There was much we hadn’t seen, and walked around.
It’s well worth the £8.50 pp entry fee.
The walk that we did was just 1.5 miles, very enjoyable.
The sights are amazing.
We met some Dutch people who made a fuss of Herbie!

Down Pleasant view
On Saturday evening.
Tracey saw the colours through the window as we were watching telly. We dashed out to see the sunset.
Got the red postbox too.
In HDR from Snapseed.
I removed a telegraph pole and wires.

That’s why he’s looking so intense
The weather was so bad with very high winds yesterday that we spent little time outdoors.
Today is much better weather… it could still get windy, up to 24MPH. We started the day with a dusting of snow. It’s going to be cold, and feel colder with the wind chill.
Border collies need a fair amount of physical and mental stimulation so we played ball games in the house. We did venture outside but not for long.

I’ve removed a couple of telegraph poles (not by hand 😀) and overhead cables, and a parked car from the photo.
Though I only took the photo two days ago I think the photo could have looked similar 100 years ago!

The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía is a majestic building designed by the Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava. Its sculpted form is highly symbolic.
The innovative architecture of this 40.000 square metre building -75 metres high-, accommodates four venues for opera, music, ballet and theatre.
Platforms project at different levels with passage ways and Mediterranean gardens. Access to the different areas is provided by means of panoramic lifts and staircases situated inside the metal sides of the building. The contrast between the opaque sheet metal structure and the glass foyers produce ever-changing sensations when walking about the building.

But the fences in Stacksteads can hold it back!

Being an early riser I usually get to see the sunrise; on this occasion I was able to see the mist over the water too.

We’re hoping that summer hasn’t disappeared. The last couple of days have been much cooler and damper.

Seen on our morning walk yesterday
Herbie and me just watched as it made a loud noise then sprinted off into the woods.
The first time that Herbie has seen a deer.

I often play a music venue by the name of "Fat Cat" here in Las Vegas. The interior has a great 1950s, 1960s vibe. Great posters and ambience.
At Kirkmadrine chapel
The eight Kirkmadrine Stones include three of the oldest Christian memorials in Scotland, dating to the 500s AD. The remaining memorials date from the 700s to 1100s AD, and demonstrate the growth of the Scottish church in this time.
They confirm the existence of an early Christian church at Kirkmadrine, and play a pivotal role in our understanding of northern Britain after occupation by Imperial Rome in the early first century AD.
The stones are behind reflective glass, and are therefore difficult to photograph.

Over the valley
Yesterday we had glorious sunshine, some snowflakes, rain, and hailstone.
Luckily I was working indoors.
Me and Herbie timed it just right, and dodged the inclement weather on our outdoor activities!

A view into the valley in Stacksteads
Yesterday was a really beautiful day. Cool but beautiful.
Our house is out of sight around the bend… about 500 yards away.
Me and Herbie were returning home after our morning walk.

April 2025: A month in 30 pictures - day 17
We took our grandson to Wrest Park in Bedfordshire today. They had an Easter treasure trail and a Lego experience which he loved. I loved seeing the tulips.

This is the botanical garden. It only takes 10 minutes to drive from my home to this garden! I have a membership and I can do exercise, walk and run in it. It is very beautiful and comfortable. I like the environment very much!
The hummingbird was photographed in the side yard of my house.
