This is the first shot since the sun returned sufficiently high in the sky after the winter solstice. In the last three winter months the reduced height of the only on the horizon did not allow, due to the turbulence of the atmosphere on the horizon, a good image quality with an instrument with a large diameter and focal length like the TEC140. Now the sun footage will only get better over the next 8 months.

C/2020 F3 NEOWISE
This surprise comet was discovered on 23-Mar-2020 by NASA's Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE). Perihelion (closest approach to the sun) was on July 3rd, just outside the orbit of Mercury, and It's closest approach to Earth will be on July 23rd. A faint 2nd tail (gas/ion/plasma -tail) is just visible above and left of the main dust tail.
Although the coment was still visible to the naked eye when the above image was acquired, it was noticeable dimmer than my 1st observation on the early morning of 13-July. In the predawn skies, it's long tail stood out prominently below Cappella - with Venus and Aldebaran in conjunction to the East.
Although I considered cropping out the tree tops from the bottom, in the end, I liked the sense of scale they added. The constellation Ursa Major (The Bear) is off the fame just above Comet Neowise
