The bug doesn't hit all users but it sure hit me. The "solution" is to uncheck "Sync photos from iPhoto" in the Photos tab. This enables sync to work (but of course it prevents photos from being sync'd, which means you can't save or share your photos, which is kind of ridiculous). From time to time the photo box checks itself and sync fails again. Then you have to go back in and uncheck it and try again.
Here are the "solutions:" discussions.apple.com/message/19669089#19669089
This may get fixed in an iOS or iPhoto update, or some bright member of the Apple-using community may discover how to actually fix it by deleting an oddly named Unix or XML file from an obscure folder somewhere.
The new road, crossing Bucegi National Park, offered me a good ocasion to test the image quality delivered by iPhone 5's camera.

The aluminium is absolutely awesome to touch. It's so smooth. It also means it's even more slippery than the iPhone 4 / 4S, so you're probably going to drop it within a day.

iamakittehcouch: @tgee56 I've been posting colors for you:)
iamakittehcouch: @mockturtle Mind I wasn't being critical, just making an observation. They looked like they were comfortably sitting in their backyard -there in the middle of Times Square!

leethal: @mockturtle I think I have the same problem as you. I can't let go of my phone either.
tgee56: Yes! This pic us cool
mockturtle: @iamakittehcouch Oh I didn't necessarily think you were being critical. They do look at ease. I've just been giving thought lately to what effect parents eyeballing their phones in their free moments instead of engaging their children ultimately has on kids. There are some interesting studies that liken the "addiction" to smart devices and constantly being plugged in to drug addiction. Like, for reals, as in full on rewiring of the brain! This image probably brought some of that backlog of pondering to mind, hence my comment. I'm not a grouch, honest!
iamakittehcouch: @mockturtle oh I didn't think you were being critical, lol, just throwing that out in case someone thought I was! I'm no judge, my iPhone is permanently glued to my hand.
scootergirl: I'm a germaphob & this just freaks me out! ⬅ ios6 update! Love it

September 23, 267/366 (1728/1827)- So when I bought this it was an iPhone4S with iOS4, then upgraded to iOS5, and now this weekend Apple has pushed out iOS6. Since the phone was originally an iPhone4 and now has iOS6, and the average of 4 and 6 is 5, then it is logical that this is now an iPhone5! Correct?
And if it is then I saved a lot of money and never had to stand in line. I can hardly wait for iOS8 so that I will have an iPhone6!
Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, according to Apple Maps, doesn't have any roads or buildings in it. The Apple Maps on the right says "Unknown Location" which is NOT what was entered - it was a link from an Eventbrite page with the building's full address. No way I could find that building with the Apple Map. Zero chance. Had to revert to Google Map, though its new app is way worse than the old native Google Maps that came with previous iPhone OS's. Bad.
