NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center hosted participants attending The Travel Blog Exchange conference for a tour of the center May 4, 2017. TBEX is the largest conference and networking event for travel bloggers, online travel journalists and social media enthusiasts. The group toured facilities that are building hardware for the Space Launch System, NASA’s new rocket, and also got visit the Payload Operations Integration Center which monitors science experiments for the International Space Station 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, 365-days a year. Groups also learned about cutting edge technologies like friction stir welding and 3-D printing, and visited with Marshall scientists that are gathering information about our sun, Earth and planets in our solar system.

Fun, fun, fun day with Em!

After this trip, I swore I'd never be the responsible party for her at Shaka ever again. She's gotten too brave! Of course, the next time she asked, I said yes. Impossible to say no to this girl!

Scarecrow Trail, Hammocks, Giant Sand Castle, Wading Garden and Train Watching meant a very hungry girl. She opted for the Tuna Fish Sandwich!

Of all the exhibits and kid play areas, this moon-like surface area at the very back of the property that most visitors to the USSRC never even see, is Em's favorite spot!

The morning after the Nashville Counting Crows show we went to find brunch in downtown Huntsville. Seemed fitting that we stumbled upon this book drop covered in crows and numbers :) Counting Crows or Crow Counting?!?

No more tears once she heard the word...PICNIC!
