Kangaroo on the hop at Log Bridge - Blowering Dam 2006

The Digital Holga is one of the worst cameras I've ever used. One of the biggest issues is it's downright unpredictable slow shutter--just look at what it did to this image! ... Okay, I admit I kind of like it :)

We are approaching the traditional end of the harvest season of the old agricultural year and entering into the dark half of the year. At the time of this last harvest, also known as Samhain or Halloween, the hedgerows and trees are bursting with edible fruits, nuts and berries. I've collected just a small selection here for a seasonal still life. Hawthorn, Rosehips, Sweet Chestnuts, Crabapples, Wildings (apples sprouted from discarded apple-cores, often crossed with Crabapples), hazelnuts, acorns (edible if correctly processed), blackberries and Sloes. If you know what to do with them, there is still a veritable delight of wild foods to be found; many of which our ancestors would have relied on to carry them through the long, cold dark months of winter... #stilllife #still_life #autumn2013 #Samhain #halloween #wildharvest #wildfruits #crabapples #foraging #oxfordshire #uk #hurricanelamp #trug #markmakingdesign #most_deserving #photowall #all_shots_ #uk_potd #icatching #bd #ig_captures_nature #red_mm #redthursday

One of the "Stop" signs just in front of a guard tower and the electric fences at Auschwitz I. Often some of the prisoners last resort they would throw themselves at the electrified barbed wire in hope of ending their misery.

A stretch out of a selection of the Chelmsford Graffiti wall on a visit after finishing work one afternoon.

Who says left over currency provides no purpose. Interesting and intricate details for macro

A very quick snap whilst walking by, a gibbon sat almost in contemplation and soaking up the winter sun.

The geyser is so unique and unusual, sometimes you forget to look around it. Did you realize there were three ponds next to it? I didn't! This is just the coolest place I hae ever been. This is a bucket list item for me. In fact, this is one of the places that inspired me to get into serious landscape photography.

So whilst in NYC we decided to have a spray artist create us a picture. This guy is an absolute legend and left us encapsulated watching him work.

We had a great time photographing a herd of Colorado horses after a snowfall in Westcliffe.

Some interesting little shipping crates along the banks of the Danube whilst on a casual stroll.

Cornish clotted cream, fresh scones and strawberry jam served with Earl Grey tea. This shot was an unbelievable nightmare to set up — from sorting out the composition and lighting to getting the table linen straight (and crease free)! Even the silverware needed much polishing. By the time I was eventually happy with the shot, I was famished and desperate to scoff the scones — which were lovely!! #creamtea #scones #clottedcream #tea #teatime #foodphotography #foodstyles_gf #foodartstyles_gf #still_life #stilllife #markmakingdesign #most_deserving #photowall #all_shots_ #uk_potd #icatching #bd #niftyfifty #baking #foodporn #strawberryjam #oxfordshire #ig_captures
