Back in Blighty and I only post this to highlight the hypocrisy of ALL PR departments! I tried some time ago to engage with DB Cargo to write some articles which I thought were positive about their trans-Pennine opportunities and their partnership with Trafford Park etc. A dear freind helped me but I was guided to their PR department where a young lady (who knew as much about trains as my dogs) told me that Rail Magazine was irrelevant and that they had a big story about "Climate Hero". So here is DB Cargo - Climate Hero - spewing toxic diesel fumes all over East Anglia yesterday - it stank - I loved the scene but couldn't help but note the moronic PR department DB Cargo have!!

Ted Haggard is/was an evangelical preacher for New Life Church(MEGA CHURCH), Association of life-giving Churches, and The National Association of Evangelicals.
Ted (hypocrisy) Haggard has been one of those influential evangelical preachers that promoted the mega church concept. This has been criticized by some fellow members and anti cult associations as being cultic.These churches are like Disney churches or six flags over Jesus churches. Corporate churches with nothing else beside money making schemes to promote their sick and twisted ideals on everyone else. He is also one of the heavy hitters in the anti gay movement fronted by his church organization.
In November of 2006 it was revealed that Ted Haggard had been in a three year long relationship with a male prostitute named Mike Jones.Ted Haggard had paid to engage in sex with Mike Jones and also purchased Crystal Meth. Haggard said he loved snorting meth before he had sex with his wife. Haggard had also revealed a fantasy he had of having an orgy with "about six young college guys ranging from 18 to 22 in age." Haggard denied everything at first...but then came out and said he did have sex with a male prostitute and did use meth in the process.
When all of this was happening...Ted Haggard was promoting the Anti Gay Agenda. Helping influence voters to vote for any measures that would deny gays their rights as fellow human beings. Also dismissing any science proving that evolution exists and that the planet is over 4 billion years old. After the scandal broke Haggard entered three weeks of intensive counseling, overseen by four ministers. To somehow cure him of being Gay? These kind of people think gay is a disease.......that attraction is a disease....and that only the word of god is the true word and cure for being gay. In 2009 Ted Haggard had also began to have former church members and friends come to his home for "healing meetings".
On January 23, 2009 it was revealed that a young male church member had come forward in 2006 and that there was an "overwhelming pool of evidence of an inappropriate, non-consensual sexual relationship that went on for a long period of time with Haggard. This was settled out of court and was revealed that Haggard masturbated in front of the young man and that it was non consensual.
As of recently Haggard claims that his feelings of sexual attraction to other men have miraculously disappeared. Haggard now portrays his encounter with the prostitute as a massage that went awry.

Beyond the temples lies the road that takes us to the Lipulekh Pass at an elevation of 5100 metres (16800 feet). The Lipulekh Pass is the gateway to Tibet, which lies on the other side of the peaks seen in the background.
We made a yatra (pilgrimage) to the holy land of Mt. Kailash and Manassarovar Lake in Tibet in September 2007. It is only now that I have begun posting pictures from our journey! This protester with a message that 'our government is rotten to the core' - and coming in the wake of so many scandals involving money and politics, I'm sure that millions feel the same.
Many Conservative Party MPs and officials are deep in the pockets of big business (both within the UK and based overseas), relying on them both for funding and future career advancement - the well known revolving door between government and the corporate sector. The VIP lane for PPE suppliers being just one of the more recent scandals that have rocked the Tories - although the corporate media have (for understandable reasons) preferred to focus on Partygate - even by itself a serious indictment of the ethics of Johnson's administration.

Metro Council Democrats aren't happy with the Happy Meals being served to Louisville's youngest customers, and they want healthier options, like milk or water, to be offered first.
Saying they want to fight childhood obesity, two council members — Rick Blackwell and Vicki Aubrey Welch — have proposed to change what fast food companies like McDonald's and other local restaurants have on their kids' menus.
"There is no mandate in here," said Welch, who is a registered nurse. "It is a default where the first choice that is going to be given is a healthy food, juice or a milk, but if the parent says, 'Oh I want my kid to have a Coke' they can give them a sugar drink if they want."
The effort is likely to conjure up comparisons to former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's ban on 16-ounce sugary drinks that agitated customers until the courts knocked that rule down.
But the sponsors say their measure makes it clear that if the new rule were implemented, it would not forbid a restaurant from selling alternatives or stop a parent from buying their child whatever they want.

Council Republicans worry the change could be the beginning of local government forcing stricter dining regulations on businesses. They argue the city shouldn't be telling restaurants what should be on their menus.
"This heavy-handed tactic is not the way to achieve the goal of a healthier community," said Councilwoman Marilyn Parker, who is also a registered nurse.
Councilwoman Angela Leet, R-7th, who is running for mayor, said in a tweet on Thursday that she wants children to be healthy but, "this ordinance is the very definition of government overreach. If the ordinance stays in its current form I cannot support it."
Mayor Greg Fischer did not take a position on the legislation when responding to Courier Journal but a spokesman said he appreciates that the sponsors are engaging with the city's health department on how to enforce the ordinance.
"The mayor is aware of some concerns in the community on implementation and encourages dialogue on how to potentially address those concerns," Fischer spokesman Chris Kenning said.
Under the proposal, any food service business with a children's meal can only sell it if it offers certain foods and beverages as the first option.
Specifically, it says that businesses must provide fresh fruit or vegetables, a whole grain product or a lean protein, one 20-ounce serving of nuts, seeds, dry beans, peas or one egg. For beverages, the restaurant must make available either a water, sparkling water, flavored water with no added natural or artificial sweeteners, non-fat or 1 percent milk product.

Andrew Snow, an advocacy manager at the American Heart Association — which is spearheading the proposal and has led similar legislation nationwide — said about 12 cities have adopted similar rules mostly in California.
The most recent city to adopt rules for kids' menus was Baltimore, which in March required restaurants to offer water, milk or real fruit juice. The mayor of Baltimore signed the legislation Thursday.
A spokesman for Nashville said the Tennessee city has no such requirements but that the health department and school district have worked together to lower the level of sugar in the chocolate milk served at schools.
In Indianapolis, a spokesman for the Marion County health department said there is nothing on the books requiring what commercial restaurants can or cannot serve.
Stacy Roof, president and CEO of the Kentucky Restaurant Association, said the group hasn't taken a position on the Louisville ordinance but that its members have voiced concerns about the city forcing them change their menu items. She questioned if such a rule is needed.
"How many kid's meals are purchased a week in the average family? I think it's a treat and it's not typically something that's a daily occurrence," Roof said. "As a parent, when I had younger children I would look at that and say, 'I don't know that they need to be telling me what I should ordering.' I think it's a bit much."

Many people wonder why obesity is an epidemic [PDF warning] in this nation. They site multiple reasons but I believe I have found the source of the problem.
Hypocrisy.
US is probably the only place where they have ads promoting awareness of obesity and promoting cheap unhealthy junk food.
Case in point - the above ad I snapped at the Powell St station in San Francisco while waiting for a train.
This hypocrisy just staggers me a bit.
Solution is to ban ads promoting such junk food. You probably do know that tobacco advertising is banned. And considering that obesity will soon become more dangerous than smoking, we should do what we can to stop one major causative factor - junk food and drinks. Both these epidemics have similar elements - smoking and eating junk food are voluntary, avoidable and rather cheap. I see no reason why not to ban junk food ads.

For beverages, the restaurant must make available either a water, sparkling water, flavored water with no added natural or artificial sweeteners, non-fat or 1 percent milk product.

Andrew Snow, an advocacy manager at the American Heart Association — which is spearheading the proposal and has led similar legislation nationwide — said about 12 cities have adopted similar rules mostly in California.
The most recent city to adopt rules for kids' menus was Baltimore, which in March required restaurants to offer water, milk or real fruit juice. The mayor of Baltimore signed the legislation Thursday.
A spokesman for Nashville said the Tennessee city has no such requirements but that the health department and school district have worked together to lower the level of sugar in the chocolate milk served at schools.
In Indianapolis, a spokesman for the Marion County health department said there is nothing on the books requiring what commercial restaurants can or cannot serve.
Stacy Roof, president and CEO of the Kentucky Restaurant Association, said the group hasn't taken a position on the Louisville ordinance but that its members have voiced concerns about the city forcing them change their menu items. She questioned if such a rule is needed.
"How many kid's meals are purchased a week in the average family? I think it's a treat and it's not typically something that's a daily occurrence," Roof said. "As a parent, when I had younger children I would look at that and say, 'I don't know that they need to be telling me what I should ordering.' I think it's a bit much."
