Thank you for the 1st place \o/
Today, we wanted to try something a little bit different and came across this very cool contest with a different concept brought by Natacha !
We tried our best to translate into a picture her story that spoke dearly to us and hope you guys will love the result as much as we loved working on it ;)
Here is the part that inspired the picture:
The taxi stopped in front of her house, he had picked her up earlier and his car was there. She invited him in to dry off and offered to light a fire while she made tea. She took off her shoes on her way to the kitchen, leaving them lying around. She returned with hot tea, and the crackling of wood could be heard under the fire in the fireplace.
She sat down next to him, both of them smiling at the good evening they have had. At one point their eyes met and they couldn't take their eyes off each other, they were hypnotized, they were entangled in each other's souls. Her feet were so cold she put them under her thighs, and moved closer to him. He wanted to say something but she stopped him by putting her index finger delicately on his lips, it was an intense moment despite the simplicity of it. That started the special sparkle…

Elijah...
I love your fuzzy little face
And your big watchful eyes
I love the way you make me laugh
You seem to have me hypnotized.

I love the way Elijah is looking right into the camera.

"Look into my eyes!!, I now have you under my spell, drop all the corn that you brought with you and slowly back away human!!!"
The Canada Goose Gosling did get some corn, but it wasn't because he hypnotized me, I always bring a bag when I visit them.
All of a sudden, I'm hypnotized
You're the one that I can't deny
Every time that I say I'm gonna walk away
You turn me on like a light switch
When you're movin' your body around and around
Now, I don't wanna fight this (no)
You know how to just make me want
You turn me on like a light switch
When you're movin' your body around and around
You got me in a tight grip (yeah)
You know how to just make me want you, baby

This was the first attempt at shooting the fork tines. I focused on a few but didn't like the result as a standalone image. I reshot, focusing on each tine and that's what I posted (See first comment). Before I did that, I started to fool around with the shot and found I liked this as a bit of an abstract.

The disengagement of the bubble is hypnotizing
Some say below the doughy crust the beast is rising
We like to talk about the past like it's the strangest dream
Then we repeat the things we never dreamed we'd do
I understand that sometimes we all must dance with fuckery
But everybody's pissing in the well of our suffering
I want to breathe in all the ashes of the books they tried to burn
I want to feel the pages in my skin and understand the words.
Castrate fiction
Call it circumstance
They say her wanderings are dangerous but all she wants to do is Dance
Question period's over
Don't you feel it?
I do
You'll be pummeled by the certainty of minions
It's a puppet show, a theatre of opinions
A chorus of flack
Feeder of the pack
You can hear the shaky timbre of the voices most alone
Yeah, it's easier to sing within the crowd
Those who pretend to believe hardest
Might actually begin to;
The nature of the bliss the warmth of ignorance gives into
I want to breathe in all the ashes of the books they tried to burn
I want to taste resilience on my tongue and love beyond concern.
Mass-grave subtlety, leave it for the birds
They say the world, it might be dangerous, but all it seems to do is Turn
Bitten by the hand that feeds you
Turn
Holding to what you're beholden to
Question period's over
Don't you, feel it? I do
I do!
Dance!

It’s only when I lose myself in someone else
That I find myself, I find myself
It’s only when I lose myself in someone else
That I find myself, I find myself
Something beautiful is happening inside for me
Something sensual, it's full of fire and mystery
I feel hypnotized, I feel paralized
I have found Heaven
There’s a thousand reasons
Why I shouldn't spend my time with you
For every reason not to be here I can think of two
To keep me hanging on
Feeling nothing’s wrong
Inside your Heaven
I can feel the emptiness inside me fade and disappear
There's a feeling of contentment now that you are here
I feel satisfied
I belong inside
Your velvet Heaven
Did I need to sell my soul for pleasure like this?
Did I have to lose control to treasure your kiss?
Did I need to place my heart in the palm of your hand
Before I could even start to understand?
It’s only when I lose myself in someone else
That I find myself, I find myself
It’s only when I lose myself in someone else
That I find my life, I find myself
It’s only when I lose myself in someone else
That I find myself, I find myself...
[Soundtrack: Depeche Mode - Only when I lose myself]
