When I decided it was time for me to visit the far north east of Scotland, I had no idea that there were going to be beaches quite like this one. I had always thought that this sort of beach is more common on the west coast. How wrong and delighted I was! Fara also loved this beach as it was all sand and relatively shallow so she could swim safely and happily. I suspect that she would have been quite happy for me just to leave her there. I find watching the waves rolling back off the sand mesmerising and love waiting patiently for the perfect one to come along. This is the Bay of Sannick to the east of John o'Groats in Caithness, Scotland.

Here is the original full colour version of the b/w cat I posted a few days ago I hope you like this one as well you all did with the monochrome version. As you can see I used flash to get all the detail in the fur and those fabulous hypnotic eyes!
this part of the forest has recently been replanted (forest regeneration programme), and the unnatural alignment of the trees creates a hypnotic visual effect, especially in this period when all the leaves have fallen and create a beautiful orange carpet.
