I enjoyed designing this MOC redux.

Wished that the canopies and windscreens I used came in Trans. Green. Suppose Trans. Bright Green is a fine alternative for Hydronauts.

Landscape is inspired by the catalogs from 1995 and 1996. I wanted to place the Aquashark in an action position and that was only possible with Trans Clear Technic Beams. The Aquanaut sub has more the shape of the sub from the Hydronauts. I wanted to use the big round windscreen.

My last Aquazone MOC redux for the moment. Took some more liberty designing the rear, as it was hard to pull off to pay tribute to the original mechanism.

The base itself is still a WIP and will be worked on later.

Meet Dan Dredge, his family is in the Dredging business. Dans reckons he can take home the race winnings with their high torque dredging sub. Typically used to dredge up reefs and sea floor to gain access to hydrolator crystals, this beast of a machine has got some punch! Best stay out of his way and be sure to avoid getting under those dredging blades they will tear you apart!

Hi! long time no type! It feels like it’s been ages, still tinkering on things but LEGO is definitely on the back burners of life. Finally getting myself together and posting a WIP of a build, I’m excited for this. More gundam inspiration. It’s just what I’m vibing at the moment. SD G generations game is really addictive and has opened my eyes to the other timelines of gundam. Anyways Im drawing inspiration from a unit from the gundam wing series after watching Liam’s hobby room build and paint a resin kit.

The gray bar in front of the sub (with the lights) was inspired by a design from Entertainingly Lame, who also created a new theme month related to all things Aquazone and other 'sub' cultures.

It's also the 25th anniversary of the original Stingrays and Hydronauts theme and this is my first Hydronauts build.

Based off the 1998 Aquazone set 6160 Sea Scorpion. (With a mini 6199 Hydro Crystalation Station included.)

In order to protect their deep-sea operations from attacks by Stingray scavengers, the Hydronauts found themselves in need of more combat-focused craft. The Manta-Hunter mech was one such vehicle, capable of switching between a cruising mode and a walking mode. The body adopted a stingray-like silhouette, making it easier to avoid notice by Stingray scouts until it was too late, and was armed with a forward harpoon battery and rear harpoon launcher.

This is a medium attack ship used by the Stingrays. While it was primarily designed as a space capable vessel it is more commonly used in the underwater war with the Hydronauts.

Based on the fiddler crab, this mecha crab uses an industrial grade clamp to grab moving prey be it the hydronauts or a floating container of valuable crystals.

I’d forgotten to add red into the build as it’s part of the stingrays colour palette, so this will get a rework. I’ve been inspired to make the claws red and trying to add some hydraulic details to make the claw look more industrial. Which to me makes it seem like the clamp as stolen which I find fitting for the bad guys.

Here’s my first entry for Aquajune

Calling for assistance to protect our resources! We are under attack, repeat we are under attack! The Hydronauts defend their freshly mined Hydrolator crystal haul from the conniving Stingrays!

Been on a bit of a mecha binge this year with patlabor and many shows from Gundam universes. I was captivated by the hygogg from war in the pocket. I was also inspired by The Underscored Double awesome hygogg builds when searching for some hygogg inspiration.

DA-4 Submarine

DSRS "Cpt Nemo"

People's Republic of Catland deep-sea research submarine "Cpt Nemo"

A small submarine designed for deep sea research.

Designed for the benefit of the National Institute of Hydrography, but may also be used by the Navy. Two multi-blade, low-noise propellers driven by electric motors provide the submarine with excellent maneuverability. The energy source is a small-sized nuclear reactor.

Due to their small size, Nemo-class vehicles can be used on board warships such as the "Galileo" class cruisers. They are also actively used for the construction and maintenance of Catland's underwater bases, for which they are equipped with powerful manipulators. In accordance with the requirements of the category specifications, the boat is equipped with a torpedo tube for small torpedoes, has three decks, an airlock for hydronauts or for rescuing submarine crews. On the external sling, the boat is capable of carrying a wide range of weapons - heavy torpedoes, mines, reconnaissance probes and seismic research charges (recently, tests were carried out in the region of the B11 peninsula).

My first Stingrays build.

It's also the 25th anniversary of the original Stingrays and Hydronauts theme, maybe I can try a small Hydronauts build as well, although I don't have many of those pieces.

It's 90s all over again!

I was lucky enough to obtain both Roboforce figs from a local seller (try finding them in Europe!). All three Hydronauts were also there so I did not hesitate even for a second - turned the latter into a female crew as I've been itching to use those hair pieces. Also BW guns for everyone!

I think I will use most of these parts for some custom characters, but I thought they are worthy of a post for nostalgia's sake.

Two weeks ago I posted this build, but I had the feeling that something was missing.

A few days ago I had the idea how to update the build. The lamps are added, just like the submarine from the set.

People's Republic of Catland extraction Unit - Gold

Once upon a time, the planet DA4 was rich in gold. The ancients actively mined it, transported it by sea to their huge cities, fought for it against each other ... No one knows what happened to them ... Some mighty force wiped them off the planet ... But the traces of their civilization remained ... there was also gold ...

Already in our time, a small inconspicuous continent H in the corner of the map suddenly became the arena of a full-scale war between the three nations, a war of total destruction.

There can be only one reason for such a fierce fight - gold. In ancient times, the H3 zone was a real El Dorado, the richest gold mine on the planet. Ships laden with gold headed from here to all other continents. Many of them sank in a storm, were sunk during numerous wars ... the ocean floor near H3 is literally strewn with gold ...

Catland's Navy Nemo-class submarine, having landed a hydronaut, conducts exploration for gold deposits on the ocean floor near zone H3. A Berk's drakar patrols the surface in search of El Dorado ships, protects the gold mine from pirates and adventurers..

Round ingots of the highest standard ... what was the surprise of experienced military reconnaissance hydronauts when, looking at the mined ingot, they saw the stamped out: B11

!!!!!!!!!

One last shot of this aquatic landscape. It's got the Hydro sub being tailed by Stingrays, they seem to go unnoticed, but...

Aquasharks: Striker shark

This Aquashark engineers really hit the nail on the head with this one. The heist with biggest scores are always the most demanding jobs which require speed and precision. Taking inspiration from the hammer head shark, the head is filled with some of the most accurate sonar and radar sensor equipment they could get their hands on.

Just managed to squeeze This build before the end of #aquajune hope y’all had fun building! The years AquaJune had awesome builds and I’m excited for next years!

A small sub for the Hydronauts to collect and carry crystals.

This narwhal styled sub is designed for any drilling mission. This is a small sub built for AquaJune. I’d been wanting to build something small as I’ve noticed I overcomplicate a lot of my builds lately and it’s been tiring. The build was a refreshing build in that aspect.

I have photographed all my AquaJune builds and will post the across the rest of the week :)

The notorious reckless ray brothers are the biker gang under the sea. Causing havoc and mayhem were ever the ride.

Couple of little scooters I finished Building just in time for AquaJune! Hoping to make a variety of small scooters so I can make an underwater racing series to display at shows :)

The Trench’s Trident is one of the fastest and hard hitting sub of the Hydronauts fleet. Outfitted with the greatest sonar equipment the market has on offer it can scope out the area for any dangers it might uncover.

Built for AquaJune. Cockpit arrangement was inspired by Ids de Jong.

The solo sub has a special place in my heart as it is my first ever Aquazone set from my childhood.

I had the idea of rebuilding it and then with the spare canopy I have built a brick built version of the prefabricated cockpit base in the hopes I could add more detail. I got stuck on the build for a while but after learning new techniques and about angles, I managed to finish it off enough for AquaJune.

AquaJune is almost coming to a close for this year, this is my last build for the month. I look forward doing it all again next year!

Built for NCLUG's March MOC challenge, where the challenge was to build a "battlepack". The rules were simple, just 4 figs and some small (150-ish parts) build to go with them.

I've been itching to build this for a while...

A small sub for the Hydronauts to collect and carry crystals.

Hydronauts have a small submarine to transport containment cells to the base.

It has seatings for two. One to pilot the submarine and one to look at the scanners and to operate the harpoon.

{MISSION LOG: Navigator Waders}

>The substation seems to still be operational, but totally wrecked. Possibly due to a skirmish.

>The emergency distress beacon is most likely an automated recording, since we've found no survivors. Hank's team hasn't contacted us yet with the condition of the generators.

>Oddly enough, crystal cargo still present. This doesn't appear to be an Aquashark raid.
