In this photo, I really wanted to focus on the bright purple color of the hydroflask, but also wanted to try to draw the eye in using the balcony. I lined up the photo so that the wall was parallel to the left side of the image and the railing was a diagonal line to the middle of the photo. I also used a large f/stop to get a shallow depth of field along with a daylight WB since I was taking the photo outside.

I got a food jar so I could take healthy food out on the trail with me. It worked well when full of fat free Greek yogurt or chili, but this day it was full of lentil soup that was far too salty :-( That wasn't the jar's fault though! It's a good jar.
