I think they painted this hydrant to look like a dalmation so that other dogs would be confused and not pee on it.
Fountain pen, then scanned and colored in Photoshop.
Apparently our town uses little short hydrants. This one has weeds growing around it.
I wanted to photograph a bright red fire hydrant that was by dark green grass. I did not take the time to find the right hydrant, but I did use my 24mm lens.
...because sometimes even hydrants like to be blind folded from time to time...
