I saw the movie with my whole family, and I really want to see it again!
loved the dynamic between Hux and Kylo, the way the movie show how different they are, and how they tease each other... :3 I would have liked to see more of Phasma, but luckily we still have two movies left!
Am 31. Dezember 1980 schloss der "Ochsen" seine Wirtschaft, der goldene Ochs auf dem Ausleger blieb glücklicherweise erhalten.
Heute ist der "Ochsen" stilgerecht renoviert und in verschiedene Wohneinheiten abgeteilt
Das prächtige Wirtshausschild erinnert noch heute an den einstigen grossen Gasthausbetrieb.

Eine historische Beizentour
So I've updated my Rey figure once again! I've redone most of her so ill just give you the run down.
I gave her a whole new face that I've made from a hobbit set, and I painted new hair strands.
I shaved down the sides to be more slim and repainted the arms to add the sleeves and the sashes on top.
i repainted most of the legs and i think it looks a lot cleaner. and i gave her a 3d leather strap on her left hand
over all i think she looks a heck of a ton better and a lot more accurate, let me know what you think though id love to hear you're opinion and input on this figure!

Wow 2 years on Flickr and not only that, I also I hit over 300 followers! :D Thanks so much guys, I've really enjoyed these past 2 years on Flickr! Even though I haven't yet gotten very good posting photos often. :P I still have really enjoyed looking at other people's photos and commenting on them, and just being a part of such a great community.
When I first joined Flickr I had no plans of doing Lego photography, I actually was working on a Lego stop motion of one of The Hobbit trailers. The first thing I posted was my version of lego3x11l's Azog decal which I was going to use in my stop motion. I also posted a frame from the stop motion which you can see here: www.flickr.com/photos/jamesbrick/10693303625/in/dateposte... However sadly the stop motion never got finished, I think I only took like 30 frames or something. :P It was then that I realized that stop motion wasn't really my thing. While I was on looking at photos on Flickr I found Jack M.'s photostream and I was amazed at the close-up shots he did of Lego. After that I was inspired, and I started to make my own Lego photos.

What a sad moment this is for General Hux. He finally realized that he has lost on Snoke's popularity contest to Kylo Ren. And all this happened during one of those big emergency drills arranged by Kylo Ren! Everyone's running and trying to escape from the Starkiller Base.
I've always liked playing with the light and motion in-camera. Here's one of the recent take on the subject. What I personally like in this scene is a room for your own imagination. It's a moment that caught photographer's eye during the big hassle.

and omg this is so AWKWARD. my chinese next door neighbor (he speaks no english) took a folding chair outside in the rain to watch me take pictures. so basically, there was this weird man that was just watching me taking pictures the entire time in the pouring rain. AWKWARD

My original build for Brickvention 2017, i decided to scale down my plans and make it in the format of my Jabba's Palace Moc (Where a bunch of different rooms and scenes from one location are joined together with different timestamps), and it's a format i'll use again. This was mainly something to kill time in the mornings or nights during the holidays. I really wanted to put the scar on Snoke's head, i was going to use the sticker from the Rocket Raccoon Polybag but i couldn't find it and didn't want to sharpie an expensive and useful piece (His dome head). I absolutely loved how the Snowspeeder turned out too. Let me know what you guys think!
So I finally finished all of my custom LEGO figures from Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens and watched the movie a few times, so now I can finally post these figures!
First off, here's my custom Kylo Ren and General Hux, some of the major baddies in the film.
Kylo Ren
I really like how this Kylo figure came out! I used a lot of cloth accessories on him, such as the waist cape, torso cloth, cloak/cloak overhang, and hood. The torso has a piece of cloth glued to it, belt sculpted on, and other layer of cloth glued on to simulate his cloak overhanging on his collar area. I think the helmet is my favorite part of the figure. it was sculpted by me using procreate, then painted a matte black color with added gloss black and silver details. The hood is a CapeMadness hood, which doesn't look the best, but I wanted to keep the cloth theme going so sculpting a hood wasn't an option.
The lightsaber is a modified saber hilt with the TLG Cross-saber piece. I sculpted onto the blade to make the hilt extension. The hilt was then painted gunmetal along with some black, gold, and red details.
General Hux
Hux was probably the easiest figure out off all my TFA figures to make. His torso has grey detail painted on and a gunmetal belt, The trench coat is a modified CM coat with the collars glued down and painted. On his left arm, his has 4 silver rings on his wrist and the silver/red/black First Order logo on his shoulder. Head and hat are TLG.

So I’m leaving for my yearly ski holiday soon, which means this will be my last post of the decade. Weird. Anyway, I updated some figs/tried out some temporary combos with some of the new fig parts I got for Christmas.

Casual Steve Rogers (Endgame): Knew this torso would be perfect for him since I saw it, however, I have seen others use it too.
Shoplifter: Just a bit of a fun fig. The Denis Nedry head reminded me of those black security things some stores put on expensive products, and since they shoot ink when alerted, it was a perfect fit.
Nearly Headless Nick: up top there, the CMF sad clown collar really ties the figure together.

Struggled with the naming of this. So with the new Star wars trailer out yesterday, i thought I'd do some different designs for the First Order. Then I thought, why not do them following on from the lengthier clone wars universe I've got going on. Though tbf, that's all too far in the past to actually affect any of the sequel trilogy stuff, but we'll gloss over that. So, this First Order is made up of (L to R):
Captain Phasma - After the destruction of the Supremacy, Phasma somehow managed to survive. Thought dead by the resistance, she was able to infiltrate the criminal underworld, donning armour obtained from a sale on a small planet named Tatooine. With her disguise, she hopes to get close enough to the resistance to learn their plans, and destroy them once and for all.
Supreme leader Hux - After Snokes death, Hux was quick to rise to power. Despite the tantrums thrown by Kylo Ren, Hux was generally accepted by the first order as its new leader.
Kylo Ren - Since Snokes death, Kylo has fallen even further into the clutches of the dark side, now influenced by another, he grows more powerful by the day, feared by his allies and foes alike.
Grand Admiral Thrawn - After regrouping with the remnants of the Empire all those years before, Thrawn was finally ready to exact his master plan: Seize control of the galaxy from the new Republic. Though it had initially shown promise, it quickly became exactly like its predecessor. The constant debates, the corruption all made it unfit to control the galaxy. It was with this that Thrawn decided a temporary alliance with the First Order would be necessary to achieve his goals.
Emperor Rae Sloane - After the exodus of Imperials from the Galaxy, Rae Sloane found herself in a predicament. Abandon the Empire she loved, and survive, or reforge herself as its leader, despite the many risks that responsibility would entail. She decided on the latter, and soon became Emperor of the Imperial remnants, preparing them for their glorious return to the galaxy. After Thrawn joined her, the two set about a plan. They agreed that powerful as the First Order was, it was disorganised, run by those she considered to be children. Hell, if Hux was in charge, everything was bound to fail. And so, Thrawn and Sloane approached the First Order, offering allegiance in wiping out the remaining New Republic forces, and the Resistance, all while secretly working on their own plan to overthrow the First Order and take control of it's vast military, properly preparing the galaxy, and the chiss ascendancy, for the crisis that Thrawn claimed was getting ever closer.
The Benefactor - A mysterious benefactor appeared shortly after Snokes death, offering guidance to Kylo Ren, offering him the knowledge he needed to seek out his enemies and destroy them once and for all. But who could this mysterious benefactor be?
So that's the First Order/Imperial allegiance. Story's not great for this one as, well, I didn't really have much of one in mind. Might be interesting to come back to, but I probably won't. I do have a resistance side put together though, so keep and eye out for that. So, as always, lemme know what you think :D
I'd definitely call this an improvement over the last one. My main problem is that I really gotta start cleaning all the dust and shmuck off my figures before I take/post them. Assuming I don't make Hux, Leia, Poe, or Luke (no promises!) This is the last of my star wars figs until episode 8. So what now? Well civil war is a thing. Definitely gonna be some figs for that. I want to make BvS figs but the sets are expensive and the movie wasn't good. However, if anyone has the BvS Batman minifig (THE WHOLE FIG) and is willing to trade it please contact me because, well, I need it if I want to make a custom for it. And as for Nintendo customs, I really just want to make the original smash 64 cast and move on from smash bros. I might make Star Fox Zero figs too, but only time will tell. Wait isn't this supposed to be about Finn? Ah, well, you look at him.

ahh i'm getting a brand new laptop todayyy :) my laptop now is crap (picture in the comments) and my brother broke his a couple months ago and we realized about a week ago that his broken one still had warranty on it so we could get a brand new one! since he had already bought a new one, i get this new one AHHH so excited.
and i was supposed to get my film developed today but the local walgreen's photoshop equipment is broken :'( i'll get it developed tomorrow though

As my fourth TFA figure, I wanted to make someone no-one else has made/started on yet. Snoke. Currently I only have the concept art image and wiki's description to go on, so he will be repeatedly updated when new sources emerge. Paint is rather messy at the moment, so will be cleaned up.
*Spoilers*
In the film he appeared as a 25ft hologram, but according to wiki, the projection was enlarged (just like palpatine's head in ep 5), so I have a theory that he is regular sized (and thus minifig scale).
Volidmort's body will be swapped for a tunic later.

This is the rear of the interrogation cell that you are held in as Kylo Ren and Armitage Hux discuss their interrogation plans for you.
I love the odd shape of this room and the details in the walls, control panel and ceiling. This room design definitely aligns with the architecture that you see all over the rest of the ship.
In a way it's odd that there are no barriers to you physically interacting with this environment. It's just one of the many ways that Imagineers try to make this experience feel as real as possible.
Dear god, finally some time to sit down and make some figs that isn't at four in the morning.
After a recent conversation with Bastion Edwards, I realized I hadn't taken on any of the original Justice Society yet, so, admittedly drawing heavily from Andrew Cookston in places, I set forth to rectify that. And even better, they're completely purist! I feel like I've been painting and modding too many figs lately, so it's nice to just deal in combos.
Anyways, the figs.
