I don't know for certain, but I believe that this little hut at Burnbanks was constructed for use in the building of the Haweswater reservoir in the 1930's when function definitely came higher on the list than beauty, or even blending in!
Sadly it was impossible to investigate more closely since United Utilities are very protective of their 'territory'.
A Boxing Day visit to Essex in the pouring rain, perfect conditions to try and capture these well photographed huts in a very minimal way!
Another shot from a couple of weeks ago, a different take on those wonderful beach huts at Osea in the Heybridge basin, Essex!
This one i was try to pick up on the path under the water leading to one of the huts!
Craig's Hut - one of the most famous High Country huts. Perched atop Mt Stirling, and accessible only via 4WD, Craig’s Hut offers stunning views of the ranges and is one of the regions most photographed landmarks.
First built as a set for The Man From Snowy River film, the hut has now become an iconic symbol of Australia’s settler history.
Wish you a marvellous week ahead
The extraordinary location of Plateau Hut which sits opposite Mt Cook in New Zealand.
I visited this location back in early September with fellow photographers Tim Poulton, Jay Daley, Tim Donnely and Damien Siedel.
Also check out this awesome new location guide app from Tim Poulton and the OOAK crew. Android version coming out early 2015.
That little red hut has been photographed many times from the opposite angle. It's captured here on the way back from the edge of the cliffs just as the sun paints the nearby grasses before dipping into the ocean in Bonavista.
Snapped lots of traveling pics along the way of my three weeks family vacation. Will post them all so please bear with me.
三週家庭旅行彈指即過,沿途拍下大量到此一遊的照片,將會一一放上。
I was visiting a client in Aldeburgh a few weeks back but I firstly took an early morning trip along the coast to catch Southwold in the early morning light before the day trippers arrived. I know it's a cliche shot but they did look pretty good in the morning light. The famous pier is in the background.

This is Pucks Hut in Benmore Gardens in Argyll, Scotland..
Puck is a mischievous elf in legend ... perhaps this hut is well named?
Went to visit my Uncle Paul this week at Frinton-On-Sea and he took us here :-)

1876, in the year of the first Bayreuth Festival, Ludwig II was able to build his Hunding hut deep in the Ammer forest far from the Linderhof castle near the Austrian border.
The hut was built after a description of the scene painting of Richard Wagner's first act of the Valkyrie

This view of the Green Hut gives us a glimpse down the central plateau as we look south along Ben Lomond. We are not far from the summit of Legges Tor (5,157 feet). I mentioned yesterday that this shot would not be out of place in Antarctica - certainly when a blizzard is blowing. Over the years plenty of people have found warm shelter in here as the wood fires burned.
One of the huts built as shelter for cattlemen in Victoria's high country. This one was built in 1889. It was great to see it in atmospheric conditions last week.
Another row of beach huts at Dawlish , Devon. Hope they endure the storms. Others have been washed away.
Just a simple Landscape type Snapograph taken at Dungeness Romney Marsh Kent UK of a discarded Fishermans Hut with a discarded Fishing Boat in the background of which both have been left to rot. On the right is one of the old railway lines that were used for hauling the boats or catch up the beach from the sea. I've deliberately gone for a higher contrast gritty look for this snap to emphasize the desolate terrain, decay & textures etc.
I'm also working on a personal project called Things Left Behind and this will be one of the shots included.
