We passed by this street everyday on the way to work. We called it "Kungfu Hustle" because the street scene and the people we saw there reminded us of the movie with that title. There were shirtless men lounging about, kids running around, babies peeing through the hole on their underwear, people playing mahjong, truckloads of fruits being delivered etc. It's a typical scene in a small Chinese neighborhood. Sis M and I decided to explore it one weekend.

not content with waking the locals up with their early morning squawking, the seagulls in brighton even get to hustle the tourists.

I have been nominated by Firefly Photography by Nicole Soren and Elle.Ography Foto INK , both great photographers and great friends of mine, for the 5 day black and white challenge. For the next four days I will be posting some of my most memorable black and white images to share with you and tagging another talented photographer to do the same. This image "Hustle & Bustle" was taken on the streets of Dublin. This is one of my favorite black and white street photos that I have taken. I also hung this in my first art show with the DAZ. After the hustle and bustle of Indian Market those kids were made to taste their seemingly first ever Frito pie. I must confess that in my almost 30 years of living in The City Different I have not once tasted a Frito pie.

The Jardin du Luxembourg, is the second largest public park in Paris.
The park is the garden of the French Senate, which is itself housed in the Luxembourg Palace.
The garden is largely devoted to a green parterre of gravel and lawn populated with statues and centred on a large octagonal basin of water, with a central jet of water; in it children sail model boats.
The garden is famed for its calm atmosphere.
The subject is a little out of focus for my tastes, but I couldn't pass on the composition and the texture of the background.

Wardrobe: The Urban Blvd & Hustling Magician Clothing
Model and MUA: Mary Gurnow
Location: ROCimage Studio
The owner of The Urban Blvd/Hustling Magician had a very particular look he was interested in for this session: He wanted his merchandise shot against white (no gray in the background) with a graphically strong shadow line. He also wanted something commercial, provocative, and sexy.
Mary was wonderful to work with on this project. She's a highly creative person. Although we both had very definite boundaries we would not cross we both wanted to push the envelope in the direction of "badass".
