My entry for the word Sepia for the 26 Round of the Photography Scavenger Hunt. A sepia tone is a reddish brown monochrome tint. When applied to a photo, it gives the picture a warm, antique feeling.

Taken in April of 2013 and edited this morning. Here's my notes from that day:

I spent last night discovering the James B. Hunt library at NCSU. The library is new and very, very cool. The book stacks are robotic, so you just request a book and a robot retrieves it for you. The space is very user friendly and there are all kinds of special little spots to study or hold a quick meeting.

Cheers,

Wade

The Hunt Library at Carnegie-Mellon University was designed by Lawrie and Green and opened in 1961. It was funded with a donation by Roy A. Hunt who was the founder of the Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA) [perhaps the reason for all of the aluminum on the building?).

I spotted Elizabeth studying in front of CFA this afternoon, and the sun was just sparkling in her hair; I had to ask for a portait.
