Mount Hunter or Begguya is a mountain in Denali National Park in Alaska. It is approximately eight miles (13 km) south of Denali, the highest peak in North America. "Begguya" means "Child of Denali" in the Dena'ina language. Mount Hunter is the third-highest major peak in the Alaska Range.
Despite being much lower in elevation than Denali Mount Hunter is a more difficult climb, due to its steep faces and corniced ridges; it also sees far less traffic than its larger neighbor.

After a 60*F day on Saturday... today we have snow and low 30's...
My DIL sent me this image of our adorable Grand-Pup!!
I watched from pretty far away as these two hunted together. This is not the first time that I have watched a Coyote hunting in the distance with a Northern Harrier following him around. This particular Harrier was even landing right next to the Coyote and just hanging out. It is so incredible to watch.
Bryce Canyon NP. "The Hunter" is the name of the large hoodoo on the left. Bryce in winter time is even more spectacular than otherwise. The snow provides a striking contrast to the orange-hued rocks. In this shot, the angle of the sunlight helped make the image more 3-dimensional. Many of my other shots came out looking too flat.

The Hunter’s Moon drops below the clouds on its way to the horizon on a brisk October morning. Warm sunrise light shines through to the ridges of Kiowa Peak and clouds draped on the Continental Divide. The wind (20 km/h- 40 mph gusts) made shooting this a challenge- even with adding weight to the tripod there was a fairly significant movement at slow shutter speeds, and I had to increase the iso up a bit. The forecast suggested a breezy cool cloudless morning, but the sky drama added nicely to the scene. Winter on the horizon… literally.
The full moon of October is called the Hunter’s Moon to denote the time of the year when game have bulked up for the winter season, and the leaves helping to hide them from hunters have fallen from the trees and shrubs, making them more vulnerable.
I hear the barred owls hooting often, and I’ve seen them flying in the woods but only from far away. Yesterday, this one decided to hunt from the edge of the woods right in the front yard.
Good God...I still laugh when I see Frank at the beach with the ducks around ....they don't even move an inch....lol....
When I got Frank ....his name was Hunter...yeeeah....wassup wit dat ..... lol...

Robert W. Crown Memorial State Beach looking at the Hunter's Point Gantry Crane. This is the largest gantry crane in the world.
It's 730 feet long--longer than AT&T baseball stadium, taller than the Statue of Liberty, and weighs as much as the Eiffel Tower. Built to swap gun turrets on battleships, the crane can lift over a million pounds.
The naval yard was decommissioned in the early 1970's, and the crane has loomed over San Francisco's skyline since.
