When I got up this morning I noticed Sole had not eaten his dinner from last night. Nor had he had any water.
Then I remembered he hadn't walked all over me in the night either and now he was nowhere to be seen. Sole only has a few sleeping places in the house and he wasn't in any of them.
He's always been an indoor cat with only a couple of escapes over the years but it was looking more and more like he must have gotten out somehow.
When I opened the front door, trying to quell my anxiety, there he was curled up in a plant box! Long story short ... he must have snuck past me at 8:00 PM and spent a cold night outside! 12 hours!
At least he knew which cottage was his and he's home safe again!
Sunny's diet consists of high grade dry kibble, some canned tuna for cats and pieces of freeze dried duck cubes. I observe his overall weight on a weekly basis.
The fact that Sunny comes for food at least twice a day is in an indication is that he is indeed homeless and relies on whatever food the neighborhood community is willing to give him.
I usually place his food bowl on an elevated spot so that he feels safe while eating, in case Joey ambushes him from behind. Not only that, ants can't get to the food bowl either.
So I decided to feed this furry little friend from next door some of my favorite potato wedges. Yup I think it likes them!
I think this was a door to a Cevicheria, the one cat seemed very keen to get inside... Taken in Downtown Lima, Peru, South America.

After seeing the disappointment on his face, I felt really sorry because it left before we could give him something to eat :(

She brought three poor butterflies inside today, playing with them for a while before gobbling them down. And I thought she was such a gentle little thing.
I was late getting home and CP2 keeps very close track of me... Especially when it is his dinner time - or past it.. So I thought I would tell him he would have to wait a few minutes longer and I got my camera.. He didn't like the idea of playing model instead of dining and he was telling me all about it.. It's just CP2 and me and I can tell you that he runs the household...:)

Its dinnertime and Rusty stirs herself from her heat-induced coma to interupt me reading this heavy material.

as i've discussed before, sometimes you just need a cocktail on a friday night. last friday, mine was called "the rumble", with flor de caña silver, muddled satsumas, lime, and regan's orange bitters.
