The Golden Temple, also known as Harmandir Sahib, meaning "abode of God" or Darbār Sahib, meaning "exalted court" , is a Gurdwara located in the city of Amritsar, Punjab, India.[It is the holiest Gurdwara and the most important pilgrimage site of Sikhism.
The temple is built around a man-made pool (sarovar) that was completed by Guru Ram Das in 1577. Guru Arjan – the fifth Guru of Sikhism, requested Sai Mir Mian Mohammed – a Muslim Pir of Lahore to lay its foundation stone in 1589. In 1604, Guru Arjan placed a copy of the Adi Granth in Harmandir Sahib, calling the site Ath Sath Tirath (lit. "shrine of 68 pilgrimages"). The temple was repeatedly rebuilt by the Sikhs after it became a target of persecution and was destroyed several times by the Muslim armies from Afghanistan and the Mughal Empire. Maharaja Ranjit Singh after founding the Sikh Empire, rebuilt it in marble and copper in 1809, overlaid the sanctum with gold foil in 1830. This has led to the name the Golden Temple.
This photo was taken during late evening, and has two friends engaged on cellphone , even when they are in one of the holiest shrine of humanity. A couple is just gazing at the temple, a lady is standing perhaps to take a cellphone photo and one gent is just sitting idly. Both mundane and religion go together. One can also see on the left the long queue of pilgrims waiting patiently for their opportunity to go inside the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. Everyone inside this temple complex has to be bare footed and has to compulsorily cover one's head.

I wanted some human interest in this landscape shot, so I asked AI to include a motorcyclist coming towards the camera, and on the left-hand side of the road. Just in case you never thought AI was smart, think again. AI knew I am in Australia, where we drive on the left. No matter how much I tried, it would not give me a motorcycle coming towards the camera on the left side of the road.

This historic site needs no reflection to admire the work of our ancestors and of nature, but the reflections do add to my consideration and appreciation.
Evening approaches and the shadow slightly encroaches on your imagination building and extending possible former construction and stirring ideas of formal occupation and informal habitation. This fort is built near the mountain passes that vehicles struggle across. To see the well set stone amongst the transformed landscape is to be amongst living food for the soul. Well it is if you have your way of enjoying history.
The feelings so easily generated here give you an insight into the way we humans focus on an importance and build around it, but when our human systems change we walk away from our former focus and take away the resources we were investing. Then the historic value gives us focus renewed to map, to rebuild a little and to conserve the memory making place. The history of this one Roman Fort positioned along a trade route near the edge of a vast Empire still standing near the narrow single track byway that never attracted industrial traffic and road building tells us much about ourselves and human interest.
Mediobogdum Roman Fort on Hardknott Pass in the Lake District has some great slightly rebuilt ruins. The light on this evening was a splendid Sun bath and banquet lighting the way to older notions and even initiation upon a ladder of lights that illuminated all of the ways to become enlightened, ignited and rejoicing in the light. This remote mountain pass with amazing ruin is an almost unbelievable location to find history and to enjoy mystery.

Swahili household residents exude poise and charm from the entryway of their home in Siyu, a small Muslim fishing settlement on the low-lying island of Pate - situated at the northern end of Kenya's Lamu Archipelago near the border with Somalia. Houses in the archipelago are built with local coral stones, mud or lime mortar, and wood from the surrounding mangrove forests.

I was busy taking picture today, when suddenly a wedding photog go in front of me and ask his clients to pose. He doesn't even bother to say anything to me. I'm a little bit pissed off but i got this picture (below in the comment) I'm not sure if i can publish it here but well, i will delete it later.
Not intend to go out for seascape shooting cos we were suppose to shoot a portrait today but was canceled at last minute cause it was raining before. Thanks God the sunset were unexpectedly beautiful.

*[Not every sunset is a 'blaze-of-glory'. Some nights there is nothing! No clouds, no color, no drama...nothing. And then there are the nights with a 'blue-cloudless-sky', and the only thing you seem to get is 'what I call' a simple 'ball-drop'. Just 'the sun' dropping into the western everglades horizon. Nothing more, nothing less. But it often forces you to 'get creative'! Why not...you're already there! LOL]
Human Interest - First Place

"This photo was taken outside the Kremlin in Moscow by the Unknown Soldier monument."
I decided that a little human interest may be good in my original 'tube [cold edition]' (and also tube) so I jumped back to earlier in my work flow and re-introduced someone :)
here are a couple of cool photos by Nick Biswell that were inspired by my original photo:

I don't usually photograph people, as most of you already know. But sometimes I see a "human interest" shot I feel a need to take. This guy was in what I would call an 'alley' but a lot of Japanese streets look sort of like alleys. He's doing his job. He's a traveling knife sharpener! He hardly noticed me. This was taken with the telephoto on the kit lens at 100mm so I'm quite some distance away. I didn't even know what he was doing when I took the picture. I just liked all the detail with the cart and his determined look as he's sharpening away.
According to the sign on his scooter, He's Ida Tadao the knife sharpener.
