The fifth in my occasional series, Faces of Burma. This cheerful young man is a bartender at Sarkies Bar in the very upmarket Strand Hotel, down by the river in Yangon, Burma/Myanmar.
Liang and I went there for dinner on our final night in Burma, and for my pleasure, the barman created a 'Hugo' cocktail for me – white wine, elderflower, lime, mint and soda in a large glass clinking with ice. Indescribably good, as you can see here!

Hugo, a typical cocktail from the Cortina d'Ampezzo area, enjoyed in front of the Colosseum in Rome. This smooth and refreshing cocktail is made with Prosecco, elderberry syrup, mint leaves and sparkling water. Today the drink is consumed in Italy and throughout Europe.
