"Little Island at Pier 55 (stylized as Little Island @Pier55) is an artificial island park in the Hudson River west of Manhattan in New York City, adjoining Hudson River Park. Designed by Heatherwick Studio, it is near the intersection of West Street and 13th Street in the Meatpacking District and Chelsea neighborhoods of Manhattan. It is located slightly west of the Manhattan shoreline atop Hudson River Pier 55, connected to Hudson River Park in Manhattan by footbridges at 13th and 14th Streets."
It is so romantic to dine in this restaurant in a historic boat with the whole lower Manhattan in your view. The Hudson River Park is truly amazing!

A nice, brisk evening along the Hudson river. Went looking for a sunset, found lots of cold wind. Not the first or last time I'll end up risking catching a cold for the shot, blue hour was nice though!

New York City - February 26, 2023: Pedestrian bridge at sunset on the Hudson River Park on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York City. Silhouetted pedestrians walk along the Hudson River as the sun sets over New Jersey.
Little Island has several interactive pieces installed on the island. This spinner is popular with the selfie-people
First visit to Little Island - it's only 2.7 acres but the multilevel design with steps, curved pathways and views of the Hudson River make it seem larger. Hope this was the first of many visits.
Designed by Thomas Heatherwick of Heatherwick Studio and Mathews Nielsen Landscape Architects.
A former tow pound was converted into an open space and is now part of the Hudson River Park. It's a work in progress but for now it has benches, Hudson River views and I saw some skateboarders. In August it was the site of a Blues BBQ Festival.
