Arizona is a state in the Southwestern region of the United States, sharing the Four Corners region of the western United States with Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah. Its other neighboring states are Nevada to the northwest and California to the west. It also shares an international border with the Mexican states of Sonora and Baja California to the south and southwest. It is the 6th-largest and the 14th-most-populous of the 50 states. Its capital and largest city is Phoenix, which is the most populous state capital in the United States.
Arizona is the 48th state and last of the contiguous states to be admitted to the Union, achieving statehood on February 14, 1912. Historically part of the territory of Alta California and Nuevo México in New Spain, it became part of independent Mexico in 1821. After being defeated in the Mexican–American War, Mexico ceded much of this territory to the United States in 1848, where the area became part of the territory of New Mexico. The southernmost portion of the state was acquired in 1853 through the Gadsden Purchase.
Southern Arizona is known for its desert climate, with extremely hot summers and mild winters. Northern Arizona features forests of pine, Douglas fir, and spruce trees; the Colorado Plateau; mountain ranges (such as the San Francisco Mountains); as well as large, deep canyons, with much more moderate summer temperatures and significant winter snowfalls. There are ski resorts in the areas of Flagstaff, Sunrise, and Tucson. In addition to the internationally known Grand Canyon National Park, which is one of the world's seven natural wonders, there are several national forests, national parks, and national monuments.
Arizona is home to a diverse population. About one-quarter of the state is made up of Indian reservations that serve as the home of 27 federally recognized Native American tribes, including the Navajo Nation, the largest in the state and the country, with more than 300,000 citizens. Since the 1980s, the proportion of Hispanics has grown significantly owing to migration from Mexico and Central America. A substantial portion of the population are followers of the Roman Catholic Church and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Arizona's population and economy have grown dramatically since the 1950s because of inward migration, and the state is now a major hub of the Sun Belt. Cities such as Phoenix and Tucson have developed large, sprawling suburban areas. Many large companies, such as PetSmart and Circle K, have headquarters in the state, and Arizona is home to major universities, including the University of Arizona, Arizona State University, and Northern Arizona University. The state is known for a history of conservative politicians such as Barry Goldwater and John McCain, though it has become a swing state in recent years.

The Grand Canyon is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado River in Arizona, United States. The Grand Canyon is 277 miles (446 km) long, up to 18 miles (29 km) wide and attains a depth of over a mile (6,093 feet or 1,857 meters).
The canyon and adjacent rim are contained within Grand Canyon National Park, the Kaibab National Forest, Grand Canyon–Parashant National Monument, the Hualapai Indian Reservation, the Havasupai Indian Reservation and the Navajo Nation. The surrounding area is contained within the Baaj Nwaavjo I'tah Kukveni – Ancestral Footprints of the Grand Canyon National Monument. President Theodore Roosevelt was a major proponent of the preservation of the Grand Canyon area and visited it on numerous occasions to hunt and enjoy the scenery.
Nearly two billion years of Earth's geological history have been exposed as the Colorado River and its tributaries cut their channels through layer after layer of rock while the Colorado Plateau was uplifted. While some aspects about the history of incision of the canyon are debated by geologists, several recent studies support the hypothesis that the Colorado River established its course through the area about 5 to 6 million years ago. Since that time, the Colorado River has driven the down-cutting of the tributaries and retreat of the cliffs, simultaneously deepening and widening the canyon.
For thousands of years, the area has been continuously inhabited by Native Americans, who built settlements within the canyon and its many caves. The Pueblo people considered the Grand Canyon a holy site, and made pilgrimages to it. The first European known to have viewed the Grand Canyon was García López de Cárdenas from Spain, who arrived in 1540.

The Palais-des-Papes was first reconsctructed from the Bishop's old houset by John XXII. After his death, Benedict XII decided to enlarge it, transforming it in a Palace (known as the Palais Viex or the "Old Palace").
The last major enlargement was made by Clemet VI, who decided to built a entire new Palace, the Palais Neuf.
Eckley Miners’ Village educates the public about the story of anthracite coal mining along with patch towns and their residents through the preservation and exploration of the site and its collection.
Founded in 1854, Eckley is an example of a planned nineteenth century coal mining town. It is a community, or coal “patch town,” which provided mining families with the basic necessities such as housing and medical care, as well as basic amenities like a store, a school and churches. Companies often designed and constructed industrial communities to house their employees in close proximity to the collieries, or mining operations, for which they worked. Such mining towns were built to attract other mining families to live and work among the coal fields of northeastern Pennsylvania. While the company greatly influenced the lives of its village residents, and each family member faced challenges and difficulties every day. The way in which they faced these challenges is the history of the region that is studied, preserved and interpreted.

L'espressione "bocca di rosa" è entrata erroneamente nel linguaggio comune come sinonimo di prostituta. In realtà, Bocca di rosa l'amore non lo faceva per professione ma per passione.
La canzone racconta la vicenda di una donna forestiera che con il suo comportamento sconvolge la quiete del paesino di Sant'Ilario. Viene presa di mira la mentalità bigotta della popolazione, che riesce alla fine a farla espellere dalle forze dell'ordine. Il testo risulta particolarmente duro per le donne cornificate («l'ira funesta delle cagnette a cui aveva sottratto l'osso»), e tenero per Bocca di rosa («metteva l'amore sopra ogni cosa»). Alla partenza di Bocca di rosa assistono commossi tutti gli uomini del borgo per «salutare chi per un poco portò l'amore nel paese». Alla stazione successiva la donna viene accolta in modo trionfale e voluta dal parroco accanto a sé nella processione.

Pour accélérer la construction l’État a eu recours à des concessions privées par exemple pour le tronçon Paris / Chartres. "Les autoroutes changent le visage de la France : artères économiques favorisant le développement industriel elles permettent de revitaliser des régions en perte de vitesse et de l'intégrer dans le mouvement général de l'expansion" Sur le plan européen elles vont combler le retard de la France et réaliser son insertion. Images de l'inauguration de l'autoroute entre Paris et Bruxelles par le président Georges Pompidou. Le reportage rappel que l'autre fonction capitale des autoroute est de favoriser la sécurité. I'm so glad that I got to see this! This is one of those situations where 30 seconds can make the difference between a good shot and an amazing shot.
I was driving to a meeting and looked in my rear view mirror to see the sun just beginning to peak over the top of Mt. Garfield... by the time that I pulled over and stepped out of my truck the utter, pure magic of the moment had passed. I like this image... but is a pale comparison of what I saw just moments before.

Salutava sempre è il titolo dello show live con il quale Alessandro Cattelan debutta a teatro; per la seconda data milanese è al Teatro degli Arcimboldi il 30 novembre 2022.
Gli special opening act del tour di Alessandro Cattelan sono affidati agli stand-up comedian Salvo di Paola, Yoko Yamada e Stefano Rapone.
Un debutto teatrale davvero speciale, si direbbe unico: il pubblico è invitato a partecipare al funerale di Alessandro Cattelan, dove partire per raccontare dall’aldilà le follie, le ipocrisie e le piccole manie che contraddistinguono le nostre vite ordinarie nell’aldiquà. Canzoni, stand-up, momenti di show, battute e interazione con il pubblico in questa festa per chiedersi insieme “cosa succede dopo?” e anche “cosa fare prima?”. Un one-man show, il primo di Cattelan, dove il protagonista ci racconta con il suo inconfondibile tono ironico e dissacrante, il suo sguardo su un mondo di cui ormai non fa più parte e dove, con la morte, si è guadagnato il privilegio della totale sincerità.
Salvo di Paola, classe ’95, ha lavorato come macchinista, operatore, aiuto regia, art director e altre parole altisonanti nell’ambito audiovisivo. Nel 2017 co-fonda lo studio di animazione Basaricò, scoprendo che i cartoni animati sono più facili da fare perché i puppet, a differenza degli attori, non pretendono il caffè. Da giugno 2021 racconta cose occasionalmente divertenti per pochi spiccioli (autodefinendosi “stand-up comedian”).
Yoko Yamada, classe 1993, è nata e cresciuta a Brescia da padre giapponese e madre italiana. Nel 2012 si trasferisce a Venezia per studiare all'università e nel 2018 e si avvicina alla stand-up comedy. Stefano Rapone è uno stand up comedian italiano. Collabora come autore con il Trio Medusa. Ha partecipato ai programmi TV "Battute?" su Rai 2, "Mai Dire Talk" con la Gialappa's Band su Italia1, "Natural Born Comedians", "Stand Up Comedy" e "CCN - Comedy Central News" su Comedy Central (SKY) e "Una Pezza di Lundini" su Rai2. Si distingue per una comicità monotono che si scontra invece con la violenza delle critiche che il comico rivolge verso sé stesso e verso il mondo. Scrive e disegna fumetti quali "Marco Travaglio Zombi" e "Natale a Gotham" ed all'attivo due spettacoli di stand up comedy.
