Oamaru was holding it's 10th annual Steampunk festival: Tomorrow the way it used to be. A gorgeous display of Victoriana in the heritage precinct with many gorgeously dressed people coming from far and wide to participate in balls, tea-pot racing and assorted other activities. Best viewed large to get all the details!

Inside the museum Steampunk HQ there were amazing bits of what would be called junk but had been creatively re-purposed.

The first act of Rebel Girl Productions burlesque show "Free for All," Cheburashka is a Non-Binary Puerto Rican performer.

 

The lighting was horrific, and I wasn't as close as I would've like to have been, but I tried to capture the mood and energy of each performer.
