Photography is about perseverance, patience, and passion. I can't begin to tell you how many times I've photographed a spot with the same composition and yet came away with something completely different. One can never really tell how the light will fall on your subject matter. The Power and Light District comes alive when the sun goes down.

A red glow abounds everywhere you turn as our Kansas City Chiefs try to advance in the NFL Playoffs this weekend.

It was a gorgeous October fall day in KC on Wednesday and I had the opportunity to knock off a bucket list shot of some red maple trees from a previous post ago. As I was driving back home I made a quick pit stop to get the red flower display in front of the memorial with a blue sky behind it. I was walking back up to the front of the memorial when I saw an empty tour bus sitiing in prime position for a high view shot. I asked if the bus driver had gone inside but she was on the obserbvation area of the double decker bus. I called out to her to see if she would allow me to get up there to take a quick pic. She obliged. Right place, right time, nice bus driver.

This was taken just after the first snowfall a few weeks ago.
I find it interesting in the arc of how people learn. I feel like I'm in the infancy of my photography hobby and each day I try to learn and further my knowledge in this vast area. I've been trying to add some depth to my images and get beyond the "snapshot" images I've taken before. Life is so vast and complex. In each wonderful gift we've been given their holds so much to take in.
