Beautiful ! Passer Domesticus (Common House Sparrow) Male in my garden

House Sparrows in my garden having breakfast.

I think the one on the left has a bit of a hangover 🤔

I guess I have a crush on these darling Sparrows...

PS - I'm somewhat of a scrooge so I'm skipping out on the holiday themed photographs😳

Thank you for your visit have a great day!!

As the words of the song went...but the chattering and bickering of these sweet little creatures has been such entertainment this week.

They were happy for me to sit outside with a morning coffee today while they carried on with business as usual :)

I watched in amazement as this female House Sparrow was clearly teaching a juvenile to drink from the bird bath in our garden. I guess you know they have to learn but I’ve never really noticed the teaching in action before.

Yes, I know the birdbath looks dirty but it’s cleaned regularly and refilled daily. Still better than a muddy puddle 😊

Many thanks to all who view, comment and fav my images.

Have a great day everyone!

This female house sparrow was posing nicely for me, going through her modeling moves. I've always found the over the shoulder look especially appealing!

Long gone are the days when you would have these little guys land in the backyard of your suburban house in their millions.

They are now scares and a special catch to get one.

A house sparrow hid behind the brush, thinking it was out of sight. Worked for me!

Thank you for looking.

Family breakfast - House Sparrows in our garden. We have two families of House Sparrows living around our garden with about 10 birds in each family. Not unusual to see 6 birds from one family on the bird feeder at the same time, but members from the two families won’t feed together.

Après une nuit froide, les oiseaux aiment se chauffer au soleil.

After a cold night, the birds like to warm themselves in the sun.

Trying to freeze a house Sparrow in motion without a shutter remote. 100 sparrows later and got him.

This iInspirational sparrow caught my attention while I was checking out some of my unprocessed December shots.
