Everything was ok with this photo. I had an idea and I implemented it. I had set up a small candle. Above it (a little raised) laid a newspaper and waited until the flame had fought through the paper. It took me almost a minute to take the picture. The next day I wanted to improve the picture a little and worked on the same principle as the day before. Unfortunately, after one or two seconds, the entire newspaper went up in flames and I had trouble controlling the fire. Thank god I was able to extinguish the fire. I left that with the new picture.

For this week's Macro Monday theme "Hot or Cold". Making metal catch on fire.

First of some fun playing with various shutter speeds.

In Germany, Sea Glass can be found on the Island Heligoland.

The strong Spring Sun has heated up the Glass. The Sand, on the other hand, is still cool from the Seawater that washed over the Beach at Night.

For Macro Mondays ……….. Theme "Hot Or Cold"

Macro Mondays - Hot or Cold

Some say the world will end in fire

Some say in ice.

From what I've tasted of desire

I hold with those who favor fire.

But if it had to perish twice

I think I know enough of hate

To say that for destruction

Ice is also great

And would suffice

MacroMondays : Hot or Cold.

Song by Tracy Chapman.

If you want Cold, then go Ice Cold......the Chocolate is a Bonus !!

I think it must be Aikos hair that was stuck on this little ice heads face - giving us a smile

Saying Brrrr, it's cold outside, the wind is arctic and very cold

But it's Monday and who can't smile when we have new pages to make in our life book, new experiences, new people to meet, new food to taste

And not to mention another week has gone and I'm closing in to someone coming home, for every Monday that goes

I just love Mondays

This one was at 1 second of exposure and the Dremel spinning in the other direction sending the sparks downwards.

Amazing how chili can warm you up in Winter and spice you up in Summer :-)

As soon as the theme was published I knew what I wanted to do as this is something I’ve wanted to try for a while! Next time I think I will aim for thinner ice cubes, took loads of these so might share some more another day.

Hibiscus is a genus of flowering plants in the mallow family, Malvaceae. The genus is quite large, comprising several hundred species that are native to warm temperate, subtropical and tropical regions throughout the world.

Member species are renowned for their large, showy flowers and those species are commonly known simply as "hibiscus", or less widely known as rose mallow. Other names include hardy hibiscus, rose of sharon, and tropical hibiscus.

The genus includes both annual and perennial herbaceous plants, as well as woody shrubs and small trees.

Several species are widely cultivated as ornamental plants, notably Hibiscus syriacus and Hibiscus rosa-sinensis.

A tea made from hibiscus flowers is known by many names around the world and is served both hot and cold. The beverage is known for its red colour, tart flavour, and vitamin C content.
