One of these days I would like to go up in a hot air balloon. Until then, I'll just live vicariously through this image.

Das Wadi Rum (arabisch وادي رم, DMG Wādī Ramm; auch Wadi Ram) ist das grösste Wadi in Jordanien. Seine Felswände bestehen aus Sandstein und Granit. Wadi Rum (Arabic: وادي رم Wādī Ramm), also known as the Valley of the Moon (Arabic: وادي القمر Wādī al-Qamar), is a valley cut into the sandstone and granite rock in southern Jordan 60 km (37 mi) to the east of Aqaba; it is the largest wadi in Jordan. Wadi Rum Protected Area was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011. The area has been used as a background setting in a number of films. Filmmakers are particularly drawn to it for science fiction films set on Mars. Other films are: Lawrence of Arabia; Red Planet; Passion in the Desert; The Last Days on Mars; The Martian (Wikipedia)

We had never been in a hot air balloon before. Robert flies small fixed wing and gyro planes so we have spent countless hours airborne but this is by far my favorite aircraft. The balloon glides through the air so quietly and peacefully with no perceivable friction and on this windless day, not a molecule of turbulence. I wished this ride could have gone on forever but our 30 minutes was over much too soon.
Just as I went out the back door to see this balloon flying very low over our house. I dashed upstairs just in time to catch it as it floated away in the front.
Due to chronic poor health I'm unable to take on new contacts but do my best to reply to comments. Thank you so much for your interest, comments and favours on my photostream. Also for your good wishes. I send you joy and peace.
