The hostel is located in the border of the wetlands. This area fluctuates between inundation and dry land. The rooms and support functions of the hostel float in the wetland on piers. The wetland completes the hydrologic cycle in this area where the water recharges the groundwater below, or evaporates to the sky. In this location, users no longer move on limestone paths, but hover over the still and reflective water (in contrast to the river).

The hostel in Schloss Laufen was... decidedly old-school. Practically medieval. This is TEN beds in one massive five-per-level bunkbed thing.
We pulled about half the mattresses of this thing onto the floor, because there really were ten of us in this room. Thankfully we could also spread out into the next room, which was nominally a lounge.
