Calcutta is usually misty around the month of Dec-Jan specially during the mornings and late evenings.This shot was taken just before 25th December in one misty morning
While on Big Island, Hawaii, my daughter wanted to do some trail riding. We found a stable called Paniolo Adventures, near the north of the island.
This is a selection of the horses available for riding.
My horse family! Designed by H T Quyet. My first folds from the 50 hours of origami book! At first I was disappointed when I found out it didn't have complete diagrams. Now I am glad that you have to fold the CP because I learnt a lot from it. This is the first non box pleated CP I have solved and it was easier than I thought. The 2 big horses were folded from 45cm squares of triple tissue foil. The smaller one was folded from a 30cm square of double tissue foil. I made a slight change to the way you fold the legs so that none of the colour from the mane and tail would show up on the legs. I changed the inside reverse fold in step 9 to a mountain fold and the mountain fold in step 17 to an inside reverse fold. Each horse took about 2 hours to fold which is no were near the estimated time of 5 hours in the book. This model was a pleasure to fold, I hope you like it :D

first attempt with the Ektar, sunny f/16ed, i must have done something right, every exposure came out fine. is it me or is it the Ektar? anyway, i like this emulsion very much, it's grainless but deep.

Just getting close to an animal is a wonderful experience in itself, to look into their eyes and feel the connection... I love it!
Two photos were merged into one and then I used the PS-filter "Solarize".
And the horses live in a farmhouse and are waiting for tourists to have fun with them.
This shot is from Iceland; the sight of horses is a constant feature if you drive around that remarkable Island.

Saw this horse whilst bringing the dogs back from the Groomers and had to stop for a photo. I had taken the camera with me, I'm learning! It is too cumbersome though and I will need to look at getting a good compact. Ideas camerawise would be welcome ... :)
