While in Mazatlan, we did a day trip to El Quelite. I am completely in love with this small town and can't wait to go back. We ate at El Meson de los Laureanos. They serve authentic Sinaloan food where we discovered rice water (Horchata) and barley water.(agua de cebada) Delish!!

Un des édifices modernistes les plus emblématiques de la ville. Œuvre de l’architecte Francisco de Mora y Berenguer réalisée d’après un projet de 1914. Bâtiment ouvert qui, occupant un pâté de maisons, s’intègre complètement dans l’espace environnant, et qui rappelle les anciennes échoppes sous bâches des marchés traditionnels. Designed to meet the needs of the bourgeois classes of the time, this building is still located today in one of the districts with the strongest purchasing power of the city, the Ensanche. It welcomes many visitors every day, ready to spend hours on its terraces, which become particularly crowded on weekends and with the arrival of good weather. A man and his family roast corn to sell on the street on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, in San Ciro de Acosta, San Luis Potosi. The only items under the 8x8" tent were a table littered with jugs of horchata, limes, and cheese, a larger cooler, and a fire pit to roast the corn.
Got to spend yesterday with Katie, and had a blassst. We went to the Oxbow, I got coffee, we walked the river trail and smoked cigarettes. Then we ventured to Westwood Hills which is where this picture was taken. After this we went and got delicious mexican food and horchata. We hung out at her apartment for a bit and watched Russel Brands stand up comedy while eating vegan doughnuts in bed. Fucking amazing day. Hope it happens again soon. She is the bees knees.

Horchata, or in Valencian/Catalan "Orxata". It originated at least during the 13th-century in the region of Valencia, where it is known as "Orxata de Xufa", related to a Mediterranean tradition of grain-based beverages & also the linguistic root of orgeat syrup, a sweet syrup made from almonds, sugar & rose- or orange flower water.
The name applied to various kinds of plant milk beverages of similar taste & appearance, in Spain it is made with soaked, mashed, crushed fruits, nuts, sweetened tiger nuts or seeds. In the 15th century the horchata brought by conquerors, explorers, traders, sailors etc. to Mexico & other parts of Latin-American & to West Africa such as Nigeria & Mali there it is known as Kunnu Aya where it is prepared on a rice base.

A nice sunset in the middle of a Jicaro trees forest! We don't have olive trees, cherries trees, strawberries trees, but we have Jicaro's trees, do you konw them? I guess no, they are so common here because of our hot weather, we have thousands everywhere, they give a round fruit like a soccer balloon, which is used to make a yummi juice, called horchata.
