The new construction at the left end of "Hope Lake" is quite extensive, and will surely make this an even more impressive property. I like to imagine how much every square foot of the lake is worth. My guess is more than the price of that volume in Perrier.
This is at the East end of what I've taken to calling Hope Lake. Note this estate has a road system, street lights, and vehicle (golf cart middle-left).
I've often wondered what this building is, and finally got a clear view of the spirited sculpture inside.

Looking past the edge of More Mesa, Hope Ranch shimmers in the blue water with dust in the distance from the gathering winds. This is a common view of the coast when arriving or departing from SBA, and never fails to take the breath away. UCSB is behind us, and also provides a spectacular view.

Captains of the Laguna Blanca Owls (dark jersey) & Cate School Rams (light jersey) meet for game instructions given by the referee on the home field of the Owls at Hope Ranch in Santa Barbara County. These small schools play 8-man football. The Rams won the game 56-6 on a 'Mercy Score Rule' early in the second half.

It was a picture perfect day in Santa Barbara while I captured the view of the lake at La Cumbre Country Club with cumulus clouds in the sky and the Santa Ynez Mountains in the background.
