The place is for sale. Don't know how much longer this wondrous field will yield the Zineas. It's quite a sight.
This was the last picture I took of this amazing spread of diverse flowers. I went for a slightly more intimate look.
This beautiful field of mostly Zinnias now used to have Cosmos and unusual Sunflowers.
A sign down by the road says the place is for "sale by owner". I don't know what will become of the place. It would be quite a responsibility keeping the fields filled with flowers. The Queen Anne's Lace, not planted by the owner I'm sure, is really taking over now. Not that this is a bad thing.
Coming back from the Cummings Nature Center yesterday, we stopped in the village of Honeoye Falls. It was almost exactly the anniversary of the first waterfall picture I took when I got my Sony A-200 DSL one year ago. This view of the falls looks pretty much like the one I took a year ago, so maybe I haven't learned much of anything, huh?
It was also the 10th anniversary of the date we came home with our big black cardboard and wood chewing shelter cat, Shadow. The Pet Pride shelter was then in a storefront place not more than 75 ft. from this waterfall in Honeoye Falls.

I had 2 thoughts when I saw this building and the sign -
One was that it was nice to see so much color on a drab winter day and .... two, this winter has been so severe, so brutal, that there should be a new name for the season we are in now. "Winter" sounds too mild.
This little one-room schoolhouse was moved to the Honeoye Falls Town Park some years ago. It's beautifully restored with the inside set up as it would have looked 135 years ago.
I took the shots below this through the windows you can see on the left. Most of them standing on my tip-toes to block out as much of the reflection as I could with my small body. Please excuse the few reflections that remain. I thought it was worth showing them too.
THIS "PRODUCTION" IS DEDICATED TO DOT....

Now I'm wondering what that bar about 2 ft. up off the floor along the wall is?
1871 One-room school house, beautifully restored. I managed to get rid of just about all the many reflections I got shooting through the window by standing on tip to block most out and doing a bit of cropping.

If a couple of people wanted to bring a towel and lay down on that slab, one person could be on the sun side and the other in the shade......for a while anyway.
