I rode today to Gälören, Malax, to see the very rare Bearded reedlings. I didn't find them but nevertheless this was a very good and tranquil day. The temperature was 10 Celcius degrees below zero at sunrise but during my 110 km trip there the temperature was 0 - +3 °C.
I spent hours near the bird tower watching hundreds of Whooper swans, Teals, Mallards, Snipes, Tufted ducks and Goldeneyes. I saw also one Whitetailed eagle, Raven and Common greenshank.
I started my trip at 11.00 and was back home at 17.30 and made 261 kms. The temperature on my return was +5 - + 3 °C. I met only two fellow motorists on the road.

The Honda Transalp name covers the XL400V, XL600V, XL650V, XL700V, and XL750 series of dual-sport motorcycles manufactured in Japan by Honda since 1986. With the exception of XL750, the Transalp bikes series feature a liquid-cooled, four-stroke 52° V-twin engine. The first prototype was built in 1985 as an off-road motorbike with a 500 cc (31 cu in) engine. Further development introduced an increase to 600 cc (37 cu in) and more road-oriented features, notably an improved fairing.
The appearance was altered in 1994: the original square lights were changed, and a new fairing was introduced.
In 2000, the XL650V Transalp replaced the XL600V,

Road to Nordkapp, Norway
July-August 2015
Me, my motorcycle and 3.000 km to the North. The weather by the way from Larvik to Nordkapp is really changeable and the landscapes too, ones of the best I’ve ever seen. 62 shoots to show my lonely trip on motorbike to North Cape: Geirangerfjord, Jotunheimen Nasjonalpark with its "Snow Road", Trolls’ Path (Trollstigen), Atlantic Road, the endless Road E6, the Arctic Circle desolation, the wonderful Lofoten Islands and the end of the land, Nordkapp.
