For me an interesting foreign plate is a more satisfying spot than an interesting car, hence why i was so pleased to photograph this 80's Accord from Ontario, Canada.

I never set out to make a photo for a Honda CRV advertisement, but this is what happened.

Spotted outside a small car workshop along the river banks of Porto as soon as i saw this thing it instantly reminded me of Sander Toonen's Daihatsu spot from summer 2017 (flic.kr/p/GYGdPQ) due to it's size and colour. Shame the low and strong winter sun didn't give me much of a chance to capture this car in greater detail.

First of a few unusual Japanese cars I've seen lately. Think I've snapped a S-MX before, but haven't seen one lately. Odd door configuration on these; one on the o/s and two on the n/s. Makes sense for RHD countrys I guess, unlike the MINI Countryman with it's flawed (in the UK) two doors on the o/s.

Now 20 years old!

As before I seem to have seen more Hondas than other older Japanese cars. Caught sight of a CRX Del Sol later on, and I have photos of others to come which I'd struggle to see in the UK outside of a show/meet.

V6, 2997 cm3, 2001. Nice backside. The front is more standard Honda.

Thanks to Wouter Bregman XBXG for spotting this car first recently. Last Saturday it was my turn to see this very interesting Honda Legend Coupé. The Legend was introduced in coupé form in 1987. Unlike the European saloon, built by Rover in Britain, the coupé came from Japan. It has a 2.7 litre V6 engine. It was built until 1990. In Europe it's very rare.

A pretty awful photo unfortunately

The first generation Honda Spirior was similar to Honda Accord sold in Japan and Europe and Acura TSX in North America. The Spirior received a China-only successor as Honda didn't develop a new Euro Accord. The Spirior is produced by Dongfeng Honda, as compared to the Accord produced by Guangqi Honda.

Unusual to see anymore in the US. I don't recall seeing very many when they were new. By now, remaining ones have had enough time to have been thrashed by one owner or more.

The del Sol was available for model years 1993-1997. The 'Civic' tag was dropped starting for 1995 model year so this one would be an early model.

The Honda Avancier is a crossover produced by Guangqi Honda, jointly developed with Dongfeng Honda, which sells its own version of the crossover as Honda UR-V.
