Hummingbirds are my favorite subject but I find I don't take that many pictures of them because I get mesmerized by their amazing beauty, their incredible agility and ferocity when it comes to protecting their territory. My mom gave me this hummingbird statue that I placed outside near a feeder. It did not take long before it became a perch/lookout for the hummer boss that held the territory. He sat on it and watched out for other hummers and chased them off if they tried any of his feeders. Of course, while chasing them off, other hummers would come in and feed from all the feeders while the boss was gone. Taken with GH2 camera, edited on iPone with #cameraplus, portrait scene, saved two copies, one with vivid fx filter and other with grunge fx filter. Used #DXP to layer the two. Grunge on top as overlay, pulled back to 55% I don't usually do that much editing of my photos but this assignment gave me some chances to experiment. #homework37 @homework
