we visited a dairy farm yesterday with our homeschool group and found out more about the milk industry.

I bought my hubby a new desk from IKEA. I removed the bakers rack & moved his old desk here to turn into my "teacher's" desk. Featured on Apartment Therapy www.unplggd.com/unplggd/closeup-homeschool-classroomclass...

Sunday morning walk around Austin, TX. I focussed on the street art of the moment around Guadalupe north of University of Texas Austin campus.

My husband created this gift wrap and ribbon storage rack out of two wooden beam that he painted gold and then attached curtain rods that could be easily removed from brackets. It's the best thing during the holidays! I keep scissors for the kids and myself on a magnetic knife rack from Ikea.

It's made a huge difference in organizing my boys. Before this room, homework and projects were usually scattered around my kitchen. Things always had to be moved around when dinner time came, and everyone was distracted because the kitchen is a huge open space in the middle of the main floor. They never liked doing homework in their bedrooms, because it would be hot upstairs in the afternoon. This works so much better for us!

Kids come out as pretzels - that's for sure!

The egyptian mask over the board is one we made during a unit on egypt both my girls made one. They chose were to hang them. My youngest chose the classroom and my oldest chose to put hers in the hallway.

The kiwi slices are made with wool felt, stuffed with sheep wool, and blanket-stitched. They can be used by themselves, in a fruit medley, or with the tart for dramatic play or a tea party. The pattern is from a Japanese craft book. See my profile for more information.

If one day, you find that the children in grade one are disgusted with their study and school because of the large amount of homework. Their once curious and shining eyes have lost interest in everything.

If one day, the first day of junior high school children run home to tell you: I want to study at home, school all day is either homework or examination, I have no time to do what I like, I want to learn painting and programming.

At this point, would you like to offer your child another way of education? In fact, many parents in various countries are already trying.
