During our stay in Northern Norway we tried to make the most of the 2 hours of near daylight, which on top is being compromised by weather and this can mean that you see no daylight at all if it's snowing or storming. But this day was a perfect one with a cold brightness that highlighted the unapproachable beauty of the North.
a sleepy sea and after-sunset sky witnessed at the pebble beach of Seven Sisters in South Down National Park, East Sussex.
Dorset high cliffs at Durdle Door at the hour of sunset. That coastal walk upand down those cliffs is certainly for the fit and determinded ones. I remember feeling pretty knocked out after all the walking with heavy photographic gear :)
This is a very unique view along the canyon created by the river Skjálfandafljót right after it tumbles down a ravine creating the picturesque Goðafoss waterfall. When I looked at its bordering rocks I saw all sorts of prehistoric beasts like the one to the right in the background, which looks like a giant turtle raising it head :)

Partial view of Reine as seen from Hamnoy on a day of very moody weather which is a scenario I like a lot since it sems to echo more with the myth of the North than bright sunshine and magazine cover landscapes :)
back to my photographic diary of our extensive Lofoten islands travel. What I most love about this landscape of amazing features and contrasts is the days when it hides its countless peaks in the clouds and offers only glimpses and peeks to its outstanding beauty. A landscape for people with strong mood swings :))
our road trip around Iceland continues as we reach day 11 of our journey. Tonight we decided to camp wildly in a bay of the Westfjords, found a lovely place and one we were settled a mighty storm began with tremendous whirlwinds running through the fjord and our mobile home shaking like grass in the wind. So we moved away searching for a more sheltered place which we hope having found. Nighty night everyone.
