Vladimir's Cathedral in Chersonesos is an Orthodox shrine that perpetuated the adoption of Christianity by Prince Vladimir. The monument-temple impresses with its grandeur, beauty and proportionality of lines. St. Vladimir's Cathedral was founded in 1861. The ceremony was attended by the royal family. The foundation stone of the cathedral was laid by Emperor Alexander II. He also approved the project of the future temple on the territory of the Chersonesos monastery. The author of the project was Academician of architecture David Grimm. Interestingly, St. Vladimir's Cathedral in Chersonesos was the first outstanding structure designed by this architect....Dashing centuries rang with swords At the walls of these ancient and in this steppe...

Gospel Movie Clip (4) - Is the Pardoning of Our Sins Really a Ticket to the Kingdom of Heaven?
Many people in religion think that they have admitted their sins and repented of them after believing in the Lord, so they have been redeemed, and been saved by grace. When the Lord comes, He will lift them up directly into the kingdom of heaven, and He cannot possibly do the work of purification and salvation. Does this view tally with the reality of God's work? It is said in the Bible: "Holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord" (Hebrews 12:14). Almighty God says: "You have missed a step in your belief in God: You have merely been redeemed, but have not been changed. For you to be after God’s heart, God must personally do the work of changing and cleansing you; if you are only redeemed, you will be incapable of attaining sanctity. In this way you will be unqualified to share in the good blessings of God" (The Word Appears in the Flesh).

′′ True holiness is not to strive to live without the creatures. It consists of using the things of this world to accomplish the will of God. It consists of using God's creation in such a way that everything we touch, see, use and love gives God new glory. Being holy means passing through the world harvesting fruit for the sky, from each tree, and collecting the glory of God in each field.
The Holy One is the one who is in touch with God in every way possible and in every direction possible. He is united with God in the depths of his own being. See and touch God in everything and everyone who encircles Him. Everywhere you go, the world sounds and resonates (albeit silently) with the deep and pure harmonies of God's glory."
-Thomas Merton, ′′ Time and Liturgy ", Voices 1968, p. 140.

One of the interesting things of the 12th century church of St Mary in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, is the fact that it was constructed right on top of a Bronze Age stone circle. The standing stones are "Pudding Stones" and, as can be seen here, were used as a foundation for the church building. The holiness of a place often continues, whatever the current religion may be. The other interesting thing about St Mary's is its 1970 mural of the last days of Jesus in Jerusalem. But that is a different matter.

Almighty God says, "No matter what provisions God made, in the course of His work they all have a positive effect on man, and they lead the way. So are there any self-serving thoughts in God's mind? Does God have any additional aims where man is concerned, or does He want to use man in some way? Not at all. God does as He says, and He also thinks this way in His heart. There is no mixed purpose, no self-serving thoughts. He does not do anything for Himself, but does absolutely everything for man, without any personal aims. Although He has plans and intentions for man, He does not do anything for Himself. Everything He does is done purely for mankind, to protect mankind, to keep mankind from being led astray" (The Word Appears in the Flesh).

Sin dwells in hell, and holiness in heaven. Remember that every temptation is from the devil, to make you like himself. Remember when you sin, that you are learning and imitating of the devil – and are so far like him. And the end of all, is that you may feel his pains. If hell-fire be not good, then sin is not good. - Richard Baxter

Poppies
Mary Oliver
The poppies send up their
orange flares; swaying
in the wind, their congregations
are a levitation
of bright dust, of thin
and lacy leaves.
There isn’t a place
in this world that doesn’t
sooner or later drown
in the indigos of darkness,
but now, for a while,
the roughage
shines like a miracle
as it floats above everything
with its yellow hair.
Of course nothing stops the cold,
black, curved blade
from hooking forward—
of course
loss is the great lesson.
But I also say this: that light
is an invitation
to happiness,
and that happiness,
when it’s done right,
is a kind of holiness,
palpable and redemptive.
Inside the bright fields,
touched by their rough and spongy gold,
I am washed and washed
in the river
of earthly delight—
and what are you going to do—
what can you do
about it—
deep, blue night?

The former Beulah Chapel (1899) in Admaston Township near Renfrew, Ontario, Canada.
It belonged to the (Men's) Holiness Movement, which has its roots in Wesleyanism, which sprung from early American Methodism.
Regarding the Holiness Movement's origins in eastern Ontario, which is where this chapel is located, research shows that Ralph Cecil Horner, born in 1853 in Shawville, Quebec, died in 1921 and is buried in the Merivale Unitied Cemetery in Ottawa; and brought the Holiness Movement Church, which he founded in 1897, to the Renfrew area.
In 1916 criticism of his leadership among Methodists, resulted in schism, and Horner founded the Standard Church of America.
"In the present circumstances, no one can afford to assume that someone else
will solve their problems. Every individual has a responsibility to help guide our global family in the right direction. Good wishes are not sufficient; we must become actively engaged."-- His Holiness the Dalai Lama

Eastern Lightning, The Church of Almighty God was created because of the appearance and work of Almighty God, the second coming of the Lord Jesus , Christ of the last days. It is made up of all those who accept Almighty God's Work in the last days and are conquered and saved by His words. It was entirely founded by Almighty God personally and is led by Him as the Shepherd. It was definitely not created by a person. Christ is the truth, the way, and the life. God's sheep hear God's voice. As long as you read the words of Almighty God, you will see God has appeared.

:: " But holiness is visible, entirely. It's wonderful to walk along like that, thought not the usual intention to reach an answer but merely drifting..." {Mary Oliver}. ~ A morning like no other. Enveloped in the cocoon of stillness, my eyes fill with tears. To be in the presence of such ethereal beauty ~ gratitude flows, heart soars. A walk I will remember for the rest of my life ~ life's little moments that last a lifetime. ::
One-minute video at YouTube. Sorry to bounce it over there, but I seem to get better video quality at YouTube than here.
Mouse broke off from a hug to check out something upwind. She's scanning a ravine and the woods beyond.
I kept bumping into her which distracted her for an instant, but she was undeterred until she decided that it wasn't a serious threat.
The soundtrack is an instrumental version of Little Black Train, a spooky 1890s Holiness Movement spiritual that I learned from Dock Boggs.
Lake Phewa
Pokhara, Nepal
For anyone who has been to Pokhara, the brightly coloured boats floating on Lake Phewa with the Annapurna range in the background is truly a memorable scene. Even at 6am with sunrise, there were boat owners offering all sorts of tours to various parts of the Lake and shore. The mountain visible is the Fish Tail holy mountain at just under 7000m.
The holiness of the real
Is always there, accessible

And in the other, the lover.

His Holiness the 17th Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje.
The date stamp on the photo says 1 20 '92. I am not sure if this is correct as His Holiness would have been six years old at that time. His recognition and installation at Tsurphu Gompa took place when he was seven years old.
The photo was given to me by Lama Karma Tsewang in Taiwan in 2002.
