Sonnenaufgang über Hoffenheim mit einem Wolkenband wie abgeschnitten. Es war schon eine besondere und magische Stimmung. Das Aufstehen hat sich gelohnt.
Sonnenaufgang im Elsenztal.
Das Bild wurde auf der Horrenberger Höhe aufgenommen, links unten liegt Hoffenheim, im Hintergrund Sinsheim, ganz am Horizont der Steinsberg. Es war ein ganz besonders magischer Moment. Eines meiner Lieblingsbilder, das Aufstehen hat sich gelohnt.

During the "Ãœber'n Buckel" ("Over the Hump") Plandampf event based at Heilbronn, DB class 023 2-6-2 No.023 042-5 leans to the curve on the sharp gradient as it barks away from its station stop at Hoffenheim, working the 08:56 Heilbronn to Heidelberg stopping service on 30th September 2007.

Öhringen - Hoffenheim
Das Ergebnis war zu erwarten. Es hätte schlimmer enden können. Daher ein Lob an die Jungs.
The result was to be expected. It could have ended worse. So praise to the boys.
On 29th September 2007 during the "Ãœber'n Buckel" ("Over the Hump") Plandampf and heritage traction event based on Heilbronn, DB 'V100.20' 212 084-8 heads a rake of 4-wheel wagons, away from Hoffenheim, the 12-wagon rake being destined for Meckesheim, and representative of the seasonal sugar beet which was conveyed over this railway up until 1991.

On 30th September 2007, DB Class '23' 2-6-2 No.023 058-1 heads away from Hoffenheim station with an afternoon Heilbronn to Heidelberg service during the "Über'n Buckel" ("Over the Hump") Plandampf and heritage traction event based on Heilbronn. This was a fine location on the line, and ideal for a locomotive getting into its stride from a standing start at the station just to the right of this photo, but it was sadly blighted by those prominent telegraph wires, although it is even more blighted today with overhead electrification masts and wires. This town was put on the map and became widely known around the world due to the remarkable success of its football team. During this year, the 2007-2008 season, it was the team's first season in professional football, and in the 2017–18 season, Hoffenheim finished third in the Bundesliga.

Kort nadat de S5 voorbij gereden was kwam ook de RE10b van Mannheim via Sinsheim naar Heilbronn aangereden.
De elk uur rijdende verbinding van Mannheim naar Heilbronn v.v. rijdt het ene uur door het Neckartal via Eberbach en Mosbach Neckarelz naar Bad Friedrichshall en het andere uur dus via Sinsheim over de Elsenztalbahn. Overigens werd tijdens het maken van de foto door werkzaamheden 10 dagen lang alleen via Sinsheim naar Bad Friedrichshall (en door naar Heilbronn) gereden.
De opname toont de Talenten 101 en 114 van Abellio Baden-Württemberg bij Hoffenheim.
Magnificently restored 'V200' Deutsche Bundesbahn diesel-hydraulic V200 033 approaching Hoffenheim, between Heidelberg and Heilbronn on Sunday 30th September 2007 with a timetabled passenger service via Sinsheim during the "Ãœber'n Buckel" Plandampf event based on Heilbronn depot.

Nog eventjes voordat het werken bij Abellio in Baden-Württemberg eindigt, werd gebruik gemaakt van het hellende landschap in de omgeving Sinsheim aan de Elsenztalbahn.
Doordat ik regelmatig over deze lijn heen gereden ben en een aantal fotowaardige fotopunten had gezien, werd daar tot 7 november nog geen gebruik van gemaakt. Door de vele bewolking van de afgelopen tijd, had ik geen zin om te hobbyen en toen het zonnetje eindelijk weer eens kans kreeg werd er dankbaar gebruik van gemaakt.
We zien tussen Zuzenhausen en Hoffenheim de S5 gereden door 425 078 van Heidelberg HBF naar Eppingen passeren vlak voor Hoffenheim, op het traject tussen Meckesheim en Sinsheim (Elsenz) Hbf.

beim "Badischen Derby" gegen den SC Freiburg - Nov .2011
das Spiel ging übrigens 1:1 aus.
During the afternoon of a very pleasant 29th September 2007 during the "Ãœber'n Buckel" ("Over the Hump") Plandampf and heritage diesel traction event based on Heilbronn, DB 212 084 arrives at Hoffenheim station with empty 4-wheel wagons representative of the seasonal sugar beet traffic once conveyed over this route until 1991. The V100.20 Class of 1,350hp Bo-Bo locomotives were built between 1962 and 1965 by Maschinenbau Kiel (MaK), intended for mixed traffic use on the main line and on steeply-graded sections of the DB system, replacing duties previously performed by steam traction.

Bathed in the unexpected late-afternoon sunlight, DB Class '23' 2-6-2 No.023 058-1 drifts around the curve on the approach to Hoffenheim station, heading service RB18341 17:21 Heidelberg to Heilbronn on Saturday 29th September 2007. With little option of excluding the telegraph poles and wires, I chose to embrace them as a feature along with the sempahore signal and its distnat disc. How could such stunning lightibe ignored.
