In the liberal college town of New Paltz which still has some stores that makes some business from the last nostalgic gasps and fumes from the 1960's when the town for some years when it was a big hippie gathering place I spied this cover to an alleyway.
THANK YOU HIPPIES
A sincere thank YOU to Joss Floss and Kurk Mumfuzz for their respectively excellent tunes and particle and to Nowhere Boy of course.
The Hippie/Opening of Nowhere B.'s exhibition party was truly a big big success. Great music from the 60's. DJ Joss tuned for over 3 hours and almost all visitors came dressed up like hippies.
Thank you all for your visit and good mood.
A big big hug!

spotted this fella in the water and took the liberty of grabbing a quick photo. I kept my distance, those killer claws looked quite menacing when he tapped them on the water :)
“I came upon a child of God
He was walking along the road
And I asked him, where are you going ?
And this he told me...
We are stardust
We are Golden
And we got to get ourselves
Back to the Garden...”

Bon we les artistes !

thunderstorm rising at th "hippie beach" - a very secret place at the south coast. you can put off your all your clothes and feel free. Playa Diego Hernández, Tenerife, Spain.
Here my sister and I are in our vinyl dresses (I'm the taller one). After walking the hills of Mount Tamalpais in Marin County, my dad and his friend George asked some old lady if they could pick her plums.
Look at us...yet my mom claims to have never been a hippie.
Apparently, this situation of parents not fessing up to past-hippieness is a problem we children of the 60s-70s sometimes have to deal with. I've stumbled upon enough stories online to realize my mom isn't the only one. Many of us kids watched our parents un-hippify in the late 70s-80s, completely forgetting their days of nude beaches, health food co-ops, etc.
So let me just put in writing that if you were an adult who used these terms excessively: far-out, groovy, right on, peace... and if you referred to anyone in a suit as "the man" and your girlfriend/wife as "my ol' lady" - but not like the white-haired kind that let you pick their plums - then, face it...you were most likely a hippie.
