An ever changing reflection ... sometimes a perfect mirror and sometimes gone completely Monet. It held my attention for some time although I only took two photographs. The other is in the first comment box.
Another view from that window in Carmarthan with the distorting glass. One pane, however, is totally clear.
Found in southeast Iowa - this old cruster still faces a challenge of out lasting time.

The town of Camara de Lobos, Madeira, slopes right on down to its harbor in Churchill Bay on the Atlantic Ocean. The combination of thick fog or clouds and sunshine was not so unusual during our time on the island. And with its volcanic rock, the island has lots of steep hills, cliffs and precipices jutting up all along its coastline. Houses and fields or vineyards are situated on this rough terrain almost as if nature is no impediment at all to human habitation and cultivation. [P1090064_lr_2000]

Not a mountain range, this is a close up of Factory Butte with beautiful details.
This was a 3 mile (4.8KM) roundtrip hike from the dirt Coal Mine Road.
Spent a couple days this last summer camping on Storm Mountain, Colorado and was able to enjoy this tremendous view. Being on a hillside without trees led to a generally windy time; luckily, however, the wind was at least cooperative on this day!
At the top of Burgstraße (Castle Street) in Nürnberg (Nuremberg), looking down past the old City Hall and with a few unusually high church steeples (and other domes), too. It's a pretty steep climb up to the imposing castle or fortress on this high hill. And especially so when we are having a heat wave. It was a holiday in Germany, so there's a goodly mix of tourists and locals out on this sunny (but somewhat hazy) day. In Germany, you can now get a cheap travel ticket giving you unlimited access to many buses and trains, so more people than usual are out and about. I've chosen the square format for this image. I lived in London for a time, and the thing I missed most about the Northwest of England was the hills... even just seeing them in the distance makes my heart sing.
This a view from Tegg's Nose, Cheshire, UK.
