This summer, my son took me up in the hills to an old WWII abandoned bunker. How they got all that concrete way up here in the mid 40's is beyond me.
On the way down from exploring, we stopped at the wye junction in the road (you can just see us down there) and I got out my DJI Phantom 4 quadcopter to take a look around. At this point, we are more than 1/2 way down from the mountain that is to our left and behind us.
We are looking East here. Seattle would be way back there.. Canada would be to our left. I believe the quad was around 400' high when I took this.
Coming down from the Wicklow Mountains, lovely green peaceful valley.
(sorry for the 'reflections' - shot through the window of a 'moving' coach)

This shot was taken on a popular look-out point on the path between Pucks Glen and Benmore. Rather than showing the hills that can be viewed from here it shows the forest path that leads to the hillock.
On the descent from Creag nan Gabhar I came across some Lochans, which were still frozen. With the mountains in the background I truly felt I was in the highlands.
Creag nan Gabhar translates as Rocky Hill of the Goat and stands at 834 meters. Not high enough to be a Munro but it is a Corbett.
The Col Ferret (el. 2490 m.) is an Alpine pass between the canton of Valais and the Aosta Valley. This pass separates the Mont Blanc Massif from the Pennine Alps.
Red Hills Ranch is located near Kelly, Wyoming. The Grand Tetons are at my back and about 15 miles away. It is magnificent country. You need to go down a long rugged dirt road so you need an SUV but it is worth it to see this fabulous area near Jackson Hole. (Edited in Lightroom, Photoshop and Topaz)
Visited these hills on a cold and frosty spring morning. The landscape was beautifully illuminated by the warm light of the rising sun.
A long winding street called Steep Hill, built on a very steep hill in Lincoln .. with a lopsided lamp post:)
Easy going down and some conveniently placed benches to rest on the way up:)
Played around with the levels and introduced a little radial blurring to create this. One of the dodgy shots my 28-75 was producing all morning!
HSS!
One more of that fabulous place, just because this one was so different being all by itself.
