Stanley Lake....and the Sawtooth Mountain Range...in Idaho

on a perfect day....motorcycle trip again...300 miles total...3 lakes and a little extra...

An easy way to get to the top of Mount Alyeska.

Alyeska Resort is a ski resort in Girdwood, Alaska, approximately 27 miles (44 km) from the city of Anchorage. Mount Alyeska is part of the Chugach mountain range and the Alyeska Resort is the largest ski area in the state. The lux Alyeska Resort is far below.

Bet it looks a bit different today.....another summer view in the comments.

Have a great week!

Example of rolling hills of Tuscany

A path across Exmoor in Devon close to the coast at Lynmouth.

View looking west along the Daintree River. This was an early morning boat ride to see what bird life we could find. Three of us had the river to ourselves, magical.

I share another pic taken from Steptoe Butte near Colfax in Washington State. I don't know how many pics I took but many. For me this is a very special place I was happy to revisit after a few years.

Une autre photo de ma visite dans cette region de l'état de Washington. Un vrai plaisir de revoir ces belles collines vertes.

Looking over a frozen hill Lochan towards the Hills "Sgurr an Fhidhleir" ( Beinn Mhor na Coigich ) and "Beinn an Eoin" in Wester Ross, Scottish Highlands.

The infamous Tanigawa dake, the mountain having claimed the highest death toll in the history of mountain climbing.

Even a beautiful early summer day struggles to hide the dramatic nature of its many faces.

This image is a 900 megapixel panoramic stitch designed to be printed as an 8 meter wide high resolution mural.

Unfortunately the project for which it was taken will not see the light of day so here it is on Flickr! :-)

There once was a park

close to home

where it was pleasant

to walk paths alone.

The sky did its part

with the sun at its heart

Though the autumn

was too brief to atone.

Edinburgh. Scotland. UK

Played around with the levels and introduced a little radial blurring to create this. One of the dodgy shots my 28-75 was producing all morning!

HSS!

A few autumnal pics from Hayfield a couple of few ago.

(I've had no broadband for a week hence the lack of comments etc)

One more of that fabulous place, just because this one was so different being all by itself.

Parco Naturale Puez-Odle, Passo delle Erbe (Trentino-Alto Adige).

On a hill of bright green is a small village in the Tuscan countryside, in the surreal silence peace reigns in the heart.
